What has happened to professional non bias announcers?

Well you must remember Jaworski is an Eagles Homer and he will never give the Cowboys any credit.......He actually picked the Bills to win.........Not to mention he's from Buffalo and probably grew up a Bills fan.......

Sorry, Jaws is a Buffalo homer. Buffalo is his home. After Buffalo, then he is an Eagle fan.

In one drive last night in the first quarter, Buffalo has a good punt that pins Dallas at the 2. Jaws just heaps praise on the guy. Minutes later, McBriar hits a 58 yarder. Not one of the three even muttered a single word. Jaws is punching Cornholer evertime Dallas makes a mistake. He's absolutely giddy that they're losing.

T.O.'s sideline catch? What designates getting nailed by the safety and not having a chance to get the second foot down? Not a word from the three.

T.O. gets text book interferred with on the 2 point conversion. The defender not only has his hands on T.O.'s chest, but faceguards, never even turns to look for the ball. NOT A SINGLE WORD from any of the talking heads in the booth. Just deafening silence, like each one is waiting for the other to say something.

But when T.O. traps the ball with 18 seconds left in regulation, it's "That's not a catch!" Jaworski screams at the first angle they show. Unfortunitely, I live just outside Buffalo so any hope I had of finding an audio of the game that wasn't homers was slim. So I had to deal with it. I'm just glad that it was ther Cowboys only monday night game this year.

I completely agree, it was ridiculous that they never mentioned any of the calls that should have gone against the Bills. I know for a fact that Cornheiser and Jaws are good friends off the show, so I have a feeling Cornheiser didn't want to say anything against his friend, but there was definitely a huge bias.

ESPN has ruined MNF...... We'll never see the good ol' days again.

Sad indeed.:(

I agree! from the mindless rambling from the commentators, to the disruptive interviews and sideline commentary while the game is being played, to the split screens while plays are being run, to actually not showing a couple of plays while they are happening ( that is really bush league), to the lack of non bias commentating, to the trying to turn the game into a comedy routine instead of focusing on the game. the MNF game has become a complete joke. I had to turn the sound off I couldn't take it any more.

Also, it really ticked me off when Mike Tirico called the game winning FG and said "The Cows won the game". Referring to the Cowboys as the cows was derogatory and extremely unprofessional.

I'm usually not a stickler on biased announcers but last night was particularly bad, especially on the part of Jaws. I thought he was gonna wet himself in excitement when it looked like the Bills were gonna win the game.

It is pretty sad how far Monday Night Football has fallen so quickly. Their matchups are secpnd rate, and the announcers are third rate.

The cheerleading for the Bills was apparent, as was the deafening silence whenever a questionable call went against Dallas. Kornheiser at least had the nerve to say that the 'spike call' on Owens was terrible - then you could hear a pin drop.

And it makes the victory all the sweeter when homers like Jaworski are clearly rooting against us.

Up yer butt Jaws!

I was waiting for Kornheiser to say, "I am the Great Kornholio, I need Romo for my bunghole"...........It just seemed that he wanted to announce his man crush on Romo, but he was held in check by "The Jaws of Life"........

FWIW, according to Norm Hitzges on Cowboys post-game show, NFL pass interference rules have changed. "Faceguarding" is no longer illegal.

Ditto. I absolutely hate that crew they have broadcasting the game now. They're terrible. Jaws is the best of the three.

The way they talk about stuff other than the game going on, just drives me F'en crazy. :banghead:

I would not mind seeing either Madden and Michaels do both SNF and MNF or get Aikman and Buck to do MNF.... I know Fox is where Aik and Buck are... but.... I wouldnt mind it.... preferably the former...

Unbiased announcers and analysts haven't been around in ESPN since the Tom Mees era. Now their writers are even worse.

The game was pretty much unlistenable and the ole line that "Jaws is unbiased and the best guy on ESPN" doesn't even pass the smell test. I think the worst was the catch by Owens the refs ruled was out of bounds. Owens was clearly pushed out and Tirico and Jaws kept saying it was a "spot on" call.

Give me a break.

Tony K was the best guy in the booth last night IMO. And what does that say about the overall broadcast?

At least Tony said the TO "spike the ball" penalty was a bad call.

They're terrible. ESPN is really struggling in that department.

It's a sad state of affairs when the current booth almost makes you wish that you had Theisman, Mike Patric and Paul Maguire back. That's really bad.

Steve Young was almost despondent after the game. :D

As for the 2 point play, I'm sorry but I don't think they should call interference on that kind of play. The ball was underthrown and T.O. had an opportunity to catch it. You have to allow the defender to do something to defend that type of play. I just wish they would be consistent with the calls.

My goodness, Young looked like he was about to cry.

He was seriously pouting. What a joke.

I actually had to mute the game a couple of times due to all the bias that crew was showing last night. From the force out, to the 2point pass interference to the numerous holds thatBuffalo got away with and not a peep out of those idiots. Yet they praise Edwards all night like he is the second coming of Elway for simply checking the ball down. Could you believe Kornheiser about this being his "star is born moment". and about this being the biggest upset in years?? What a crock.

Oh and Young after the game was priceless. Did anybody else hear him say that winning off of an onside kick is not professional football? What a hater. I wish Irvin was still around to rub it in his face as Emmitt was too worried about being politically correct.

What comes around goes around. Nick Folk's 2 53 yard kicks for the win had to been a dagger through the heart, especially Jaws.

I might also add it was most gratifying to me after having to set and listen about the Bill's rookie QB all freaking game. ANd how did he do? He managed 3 points of offense against our D. LOL

Emmitt should have brought up Young's salary cap violating deal he had during the one year he and his team of mercenaries managed to win anything.

It wasn't just that he didn't look back. He had his hands on Owens well before the ball got there. That gets called a heck of a lot more often than not.

As for non-calls, how about running into McBriar on that punt? That was so blatant, it was ridiculous, but not as ridiculous as the manufacture of penalties is getting. Last week it was a block in the back on Witten and PI on TO. This week it was a ball spike by TO that simply and obviously DID NOT HAPPEN. He tossed the ball aside like players do after 75% of plays.

Then he's already being punished far beyond our power to make him miserable... so perhaps we should just let him stew in his misery, and not CARE so much about it...

Watching the post-game segment of these three on SportsCenter was simply fantastic. Kornheiser looked like he was about to cry. He was completely exasperated that Dallas was somehow still undefeated. The disappointment in his face was priceless.

Didn't he compare our team to Vampires?

"Just what do you have to do?!"
