What has happened to professional non bias announcers?

In one drive last night in the first quarter, Buffalo has a good punt that pins Dallas at the 2. Jaws just heaps praise on the guy. Minutes later, McBriar hits a 58 yarder. Not one of the three even muttered a single word. Jaws is punching Cornholer evertime Dallas makes a mistake. He's absolutely giddy that they're losing.

T.O.'s sideline catch? What designates getting nailed by the safety and not having a chance to get the second foot down? Not a word from the three.

T.O. gets text book interferred with on the 2 point conversion. The defender not only has his hands on T.O.'s chest, but faceguards, never even turns to look for the ball. NOT A SINGLE WORD from any of the talking heads in the booth. Just deafening silence, like each one is waiting for the other to say something.

But when T.O. traps the ball with 18 seconds left in regulation, it's "That's not a catch!" Jaworski screams at the first angle they show. Unfortunitely, I live just outside Buffalo so any hope I had of finding an audio of the game that wasn't homers was slim. So I had to deal with it. I'm just glad that it was ther Cowboys only monday night game this year.

Congrats on your win yesterday. I may not like it, but a win is a win. On the 2 point conversion TO got his hands on the ball first and the corner wrestled the ball away. He doesn't need to be looking at the ball as he is allowed to take it away.

They're terrible. ESPN is really struggling in that department.

It's a sad state of affairs when the current booth almost makes you wish that you had Theisman, Mike Patric and Paul Maguire back. That's really bad.

Nothing will every make me want to listen to Maguire and Thiesman together again but these guys were obnoxiously bad last night. I expect Kornheiser to be clueless enough to think that 150 yards worth of dump offs could be somebody's coming out party but Jaws ought to know better.

I was only using the analogy as means to show pale comparison - they were really bad. I can't stand Maguire either. Rock on, cheers, and Go Cowboys!

Wrestled is not the correct word..... he got his hands tangled with Owens and fortunately for him the ball came loose!

NOT looking back for the ball is NOT exercising good DB skills..... Cowboy fans know this because we've seen it for years!!!

FWIW, according to Norm Hitzges on Cowboys post-game show, NFL pass interference rules have changed. "Faceguarding" is no longer illegal.

No, but having your hands on the receiver's forearms when you aren't even going for the ball, is. It was interference, IMO,

As other's have pointed out though, maybe its a good thing it was ruled incomplete. We recovered the on-side kick and won. Who knows what would have happened in overtime.

He's not allowed to put his hands on the receiver before the ball gets there. I said it once and I'll say it again: PI gets called on that play a heck of a lot more often than not.

Yeah, at least Romo made plays when he had his "coming out party." Edwards played a bus-driver type game.

How about the ignorance of the pregame.....Someone stated, "which would be a greater upset.....the Bills over the Cowboys or the Stanford win over USC"...........

I used to do that with Maguire...god that guy is such a buffoon. It's like he had all these great insights and ideas but when he tried to say it, all that would come out was "Let me tell you" or "I'm telling you!" Yea I know Paul, you tell us you tell us every time you tell us something, and a lot of the times you don't tell us anything!

My pet peeves from last night...

1) When Dallas was lining up for the game winning FG the crew & a camera should have fully anticipated Jauron's timeout. You'd have had to be living under a rock the last few weeks to not be looking for that.

Instead, once the crew finally realized what was happening they lauded Jauron as if he'd thought up this great strategy.

2) Treating this game like it was one of the monumental mismatches of all-time. Buffalo isn't that bad. And while Dallas may be on their way, they have yet to arrive. They just needed to tone that down.

3) The fawning over Edwards. Again, just too over the top. He did a good job keeping his head mostly, and playing close to the vest. But as someone already mentioned, yeah, 3 points! Get a grip!

One thing I give Turico credit for, he called it when Dallas 2 point try failed. "They still have the onsides kick." he declared right away.

Jaws commented about this play. He stated it was a GREAT call and TO was out of bounds.

It was an easy call even in real time I noticed what happened and was stunned the REF botched it?
