They should have never messed around with him. I hope the scrub fullback was worth it Garrett. We finally get an aggressive corner who admittedly is rough around the edges but at least not a coward like the bw webb character we kept around for a year and we get rid of him smh.

If Mitchell had progressed throughout camp I'd agree with you.

I was excited about the kid over the first couple weeks.

I kept waiting for the clutching, grabbing and continually giving WR's the business after 5 yards would gradually diminish.

But nope.

Against the Bronco scrubs he was still eschewing technique for cheating.

The knucklehead didn't progress at all.

I can certainly understand why the Cowboys cut him.

And I'm not surprised that Mitchell wouldn't want to resign here. I'm sure Henderson was on him constantly about that. And did he listen?

No.

Until he gets his head on straight he'll be a penalty machine.

Sad to see him go. Liked the sack on that guy. But he wasn't ready. And if we wanted him back and he didn't want to be here...so be it.

Being a huge Oregon Ducks fan, I had high hope for Mitchell. But I'm not sad to see him go. IMO he is a PI machine due to poor technique. When he gets beat he grabs the person he is covering and in today's NFL that is going to draw a flag. This team has enough issue with getting off the field and the last thing we need is another player that consistently called for PI and or holding.
