So you think people said he was garbage out of hate for him? Lol ok dude

They said that after his first game as a rookie.

Only someone with an agenda would say that about any player after their first game.

SO ...... lol ok duuuude.

I'm not sure, but for once, there seems to be a positive vibe in a thread...not sure I recognize that, but I am liking it!!!

...and, TWill is playing very well right now and him talking to Irvin just impresses the hell out of me....unless, of course, he is looking for recipes or something

Has anyone else noticed how Williams never uses his hands to catch the ball? Im kinda worried about how he usually traps the ball against his body.

Making Im making something outta nothing. Guy has been a force thus far!
Mike got on Roy Williams for not catching the ball this way.

Terrance came into the league with people questioning if he can get separation. Irvin made a career with little separation. Although the rules wont let you play like him anymore, he still should be able to help Terrance.
Not true on the separation statement.

I love the fact he called Irvin. He should call a few others, too. I'd call Jerry Rice about catching the ball, running routes, getting open and working out. Even Irvin had trouble working out with Rice. Irvin can tell him how to run routes in the vertical offense and give him some pointers in pushing off without getting caught (as much).

TWill has the "it" factor as does Dez, not the same talent, but the same drive it appears. Irvin is the best guy to go to for advice IMO. He played for Dallas and knows what it takes to succeed there. Michael also had his share of problems off the field and can yield good advice to avoid the same mistakes.

I never had a problem with the drafting of Williams and Fred, thought Fred was an excellent choice. This whole draft is turning out well minus one.......Escobar. I didn't like it then and don't like it now. I hope that changes soon because I want him to work out, just don't see it.

Dex,

In Escobar the talent is there to be a great pass catching TE
And cause problems down the field or in the Redzone. I feel the problem is the coaching staff with how they use him. Also I have a problem that they handed the job back Miles known he wasn't a 100% and I felt that it hurt the team more then helped. I guess what I'm saying is I have issue with coaching and not the picks

Agree, they just do not know how to use TE's from my view. I was more upset at another TE drafted early than at Escobar directly. Fasano, Bennett, Phillips, Hanna and so on. None of them were used properly and may never be in this scheme.

For NOT trapping the ball against his body? lol Im sure there is more to this story.

Mike thinks WRs should catch with the body when catching in traffic to protect themselve from a big hit.

Amazing that Irvin has such pride as a Cowboy to always reach out and help the players and team succeed. Great man. If I could only choose one Cowboy to meet, it would be Irvin.
