It's true he was never supposed to be our #1 WR but he has been just awful this year. I was hoping this was the year he really put things together, but so far I've been extremely disappointed.

Terrance Williams - 9/17 for 144 yards, 1 TD
Devin Street - 1/3 for 18 yards

Cole Beasley - 12/15 for 122 yards
Lance Dunbar - 21/23 for 215 yards
(Note: Darren Sproles - 15/20 for 118 yards)
Jason Witten - 21/25 for 181 yards
Joseph Randle - 6/6 for 74 yards
Dez Bryant - 5/7 for 48 yards
Darren McFadden - 3/3 for 40 yards
Gavin Escobar - 4/5 for 24 yards

Players who need to be more involved in the offense
Players who need to be less involved in the offense

Also they need to go ahead and bring in a veteran wide receiver to pair with Williams until Bryant returns. Trying to trot out Devin Street like he is a legitimate receiver isn't helping anyone.

Veteran WR like who? Who is available, who can still contribute, who could possibly be ready to play before Dez is ready to return?

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single one...

He cannot run routes and he doesn't catch the ball with his hands. There is a pretty obvious ceiling when all you can do is out athlete people. Not to mention we don't have the most creative coaches in the world. There are probably teams that would get more out of him, but this is the situation that he's in.

I disagree on the route-running, but the body-catching does limit him some.

However, I think it's kind of silly to be down on him right now with Romo out. He didn't have a catch last week with Weeden constantly throwing underneath, although he had one he should have caught.

With Romo and Bryant playing, he had 5 for 60 against New York, then without Bryant, he had 4 for 84 and a TD against Philly. Those numbers are far from awful.

This is getting out of hand now. Terrence doesn't even get the football enough to say he's holding the offense back. Our quarterback is Brandon Weeden. You don't have to look further than the qb position to look at what's holding us back. Even if Dez was out here he wouldn't get any looks or catchable passes which is sad because he played college football with him.

Dez caught 2 passes for 15 yards and a TD against Arizona last year with Weeden starting, so clearly Dez was holding us back in that game.

Getting tired of these TWill bashing threads he hasn't been "awful" this season. He had 5 catches for 60 yards in the opener and 4 catches for 84 including a 42 yard TD that sealed the win vs Philly. How is that being awful? He out produced Dez in the playoffs last season and threads were popping up wanting him replaced. He's not a #1 receiver but a good #2 who makes clutch plays and scores TDs. I wasn't happy with his drop last week but it appears he's become the whipping boy for a few who are frustrated with the Cowboys current situation.

This...

Tony means everything to this team.

Our coaches are not going to help matters. They keep their arrogant line up and win your matchup and keep us coaches out of it mentality.

You here what Jerry said this morning? He is stirring the pot on the creative offense!

Not preparing for Tony Romo not being able to play is what's holding this team back.

So mad hearing post game.

We should have won against a bad team.

We didn't.

Season officially in danger.

This is what you get with Jason Garrett.

He offers us nothing with Romo out but a cowards gameplan.

Watching the drive that tied the game, you had to at least wonder if it's not Garrett/Linehan holding Weeden back as long as it remains tied or a one possession game. The game plan seemed more about not making mistakes than being aggressive. Classic kind of conservative plan that we have seen too many times from Garrett in the 8-8 years. It is difficult to win more than 50% of games decided by 7 pts or less. I felt that Linehan went awol for stretches in the second half. The season might come down to NY and Seattle...at the VERY least, they need one of them...BOTH to really plug the leak. Lose them both and it gets pretty dark at 2-5. I think you will then have a quarterback controversy to add to the discontent.
