1. Sheldon Richardson DT New York Jets
2. Kiko Alonso ILB Buffalo
3. Kenny Vaccaro S New Orleans
4. Ezekiel Ansah DE Detroit
5. Geno Smith QB New York Jets
6. Giovani Bernard RB Cincinnati
7. Barkevious Mingo OLB Cleveland
8. Larry Warford G Detroit
9. Star Lotulelei DT Carolina
10. Tyrann Mathieu S Arizona
11. DeAndre Hopkins WR Houston
12. Eric Reid S San Francisco
13. Alec Ogletree OLB St. Louis
14. Kenbrell Thompkins WR New England

15. Terrance Williams WR Dallas
After a messy start to the season, he's been really coming on of late, and he could be a star of the not-too-distant future if he becomes a little more consistent. Over the past two games, he has 11 catches for 222 yards. Tony Romo is warming up to the rookie now that Williams has a better idea of where he's supposed to be on the field.

Travis Frederick is mentioned on the "Next Up" honorable mention list.

Hopefully the staff doesn't find a way to crush his progress with Miles coming back even though they should be playing different spots at WR.

This would be great if these 2 are players for the long haul and just think it looks like we turned our first round pick into two starters. This team needs to do this again next year some how some way.

I agree, but our draft as a whole would look much better taking Warford in the 2nd round instead of Escobar.

We had a 10 year answer at one of the G spots staring us right in the face.

Ive have thought about that before we would have some cash right now for some Dline help makes me sick but i am still happy about this draft.

Guess i am use to our second rd pick going to a TE that in 3 years will prob be on another team.

Jerry's MO recently.

It's not that he doesn't hit on any picks. It's that he misses too many opportunities.

You draft to your board. We know for sure they did exactly that (please nobody make me explain the Floyd issue again).

And the Oline is playing very well right now. And would Free be playing as well with a rookie next to him rather than Waters?

Having said all that we should be looking at guard early and often in the upcoming draft. If Oline and Dline are not heavily addressed Jerry and crew need to share that skunk weed.

If their board had Escobar over Warford, get a new board.

Drafting to your board doesn't mean you can't be wrong. That's part 1. The 2nd part is when the players have to justify how you stacked your board.

Well yes. In hindsight nobody's board will be perfect.

But you build the board the best you can and you have to draft by it.

If you want to argue that we need to do a better job stacking our board that's a different conversation all together. But if you want to argue that then you'll run into resistance. You may disagree with how we've built the team...but it'd be hard to argue against the quality of players we've brought in (2009 notwithstanding).

Do I wish we'd had more lineman? Yes. Is it hard to argue we aren't bringing in quality players at the skill positions and linebacking corps? Very hard.

I actually can argue that. I think the talent on this team is highly overrated. I think the drafting has been better the last few years, but better than awful. Which was where it was at. I don't think the Cowboys are anywhere near one of the better drafting teams in the league.

We only have to go back 1 year to see them waste a 1st and 2nd round pick on a cornerback. How's that working out? Who is a player in that draft class? Wilber and Johnson with two 4ths? Caleb who? That entire class is coming dangerously close to being a complete flush like 2009.

This last class looks to be the best in a while. But that's still very much up in the air.

If Escobar replaces Witten, then he was a way, way better pick than some guard. He wasn't on our board anyway, so anyone blaming Jerry for that pick is clueless.
