It is my contention this will be the most improved player on the team, and coming close to Dez as MVP outside of Romo.

Fact is I think the MVP for this offense will go

Romo
Dez
Williams/Murray
Smith
Freddie/Zach-Attack

For those who believe I don't get excited about this game and this team during this time of year, you would be way wrong.

I'm excited about this team as well. This offense has the ability to be really good this year. It all hinges on Tony's back. Say what you will but I bet he plays the whole year.

If course the success of the team will fall on if our defensive line can show something, and if the young players in our line backing core and defensive backfield can take the next step.

Michael Irvin caught with his body too.

I'm not saying a receiver should always catch with their hands. Obviously, if the ball is thrown gut-high and there are defenders draped on the receiver, using his body to shield and catch the ball is the smart play.

The problem is that he tended to body catch on a lot of plays where if he had caught them with his hands, he could have had a lot more YAC. The delay in the letting ball come all the way into the body and the slight hesitation that goes with it to make sure he has control of it gives defenders time to close in and tackle him.

The best receivers use their hands in most situations because it gives the quarterback a wider target and gives the receiver the best chance to take off immediately.

This is not something new that I thought about with Williams. It's how I've judged receivers for a long time in general. Crayton was a great hands catcher which made him a solid #3 receiver. He did not have the pure talent to be a #1 or #2 receiver, but if he had been a body catcher, he would have not reached #3 either.

That said, just because a receiver is a hands catcher does not mean he will be great. Williams has a lot of talent and positive aspects about him. Being able to use his hands more would elevate his play more.

Good to see.

Williams route running is better than just about every rookie that I've seen coming into the league. He is awfully smooth for such a young guy. That's why he had such a good rookie season.

I'm really looking for a big jump in production in year two. A really mature young man. Takes the game very seriously.

Extremely smooth in how he accelerates. Runs good routes. Like you said, seems to be a very mature young man and player. A definite building block player.

I hope Nick Eatman is right about Williams when he says this will be a great season for him.

Right now everything is pure speculation.

No- because there is a history of production to look back upon (even though it's only one year and college, but that one year counts) and his work ethic which can be easily investigated through quotes from coaches and players over the past year and I have to say:

I feel perty good about T Will.

and congrats on making it to the "Satanic Post Count" six sixty six, you devil you.

666 is the number of the beast. Not the devil.

Isn't it ironic that I have an Iron Maiden avatar now?

Believe me- it was appreciated. Eddie's my boy.

And yeah- I know the real origin of the numeric value of 666.
In my dreams I'm fiddling madly while something burns down, but it's usually FedEx Field in DC.

Is he working on his "Deon's praise God" TD move?

People might as well get used to seeing this:

Terrance-Williams_083346.jpg

6-2, 200... does everything good. Very well rounded player. Good size. Good speed. Good hands. Good jumping ability. Good route runner.

He is going to be a thorn in the side of NFC East CB's for a long, long time.

Philly needs to get used to seeing this:

Dez and TWill will be a fun tandem to watch this year.

The offense we could have this year gets me excited. Keep that back feeling good Romo!

If Williams is as good as I think he's going to be this year - and I do think he will be very good - then Dallas is going to have one of the absolute best WR combo's in the league.

One of Terrance's strengths is the precision with which he plays the game. He should even moreso this season, and that is going to present a ton of opportunities from Romo because he's going to know where Williams is at all times.

Dez is just flat-out Hulk Smash... and he will still be the WR in the Dallas offense that simply scares the **** out of defenses... but I think TW is going to give them fits as well with his combination of length, speed, and natural receiving ability.

You can see how the combination of Dez and Williams with Beasley in the slot would present huge problems for defenses.

myth....he had one of the best, strongest hands as a WR

Not initially... He caught a TON of balls in the breadbasket his rookie year...

His knee injury his second year was the best thing that happened to him as when he came back, he was catching with his hands...

You're right that he had strong hands and he learned how to use them during his rehab...

Yeah, and with Linehan's fast-paced, sneaky playcalling, this could turn into one of the most feared offenses on the NFL.

Take our OL, pepper in a few more run plays a game, and I don't see a good reason why this couldn't be the NFL's top scoring offense in 2014.

Talk about a good 3rd round pick. Getting him and Frederick for the single first round pick was truly a steal.

uh, you had better keep your eyes on the rookie Wr Odell Beckham. He runs his routes better than any rookie WR that I have seen in years. I'm not saying it just because he is my nephew, I'm saying it because I've seen it since high school and the Manning brothers has confirmed it and will back me up. When theyhad their football camps at thier high school which incidently My nephew attended, eli and Peyton fought over(playfully) to see who would throw him passes.

I will root for my nephew to have great games against us, but his team has to lose, bt against everyone else I will root for the giants, I hate saying that but because a blood relative is plaaying on a rival team I have to root for them but against us I only root for my kin.
