terrance just needs to keep his hands around JUGS this entire off season. he needs to get a better feel for it with his hands.

If Williams is as good as I think he's going to be this year - and I do think he will be very good - then Dallas is going to have one of the absolute best WR combo's in the league.

One of Terrance's strengths is the precision with which he plays the game. He should even moreso this season, and that is going to present a ton of opportunities from Romo because he's going to know where Williams is at all times.

Dez is just flat-out Hulk Smash... and he will still be the WR in the Dallas offense that simply scares the **** out of defenses... but I think TW is going to give them fits as well with his combination of length, speed, and natural receiving ability.

You can see how the combination of Dez and Williams with Beasley in the slot would present huge problems for defenses.

I think Williams has around 80 catches, 1000 yards, 7 TDs.

That was my biggest complaint about Williams last year .. that he catches with his body most of the time rather than his hands. The best receivers use their hands because they can cover a wider target area. Hopefully, that's why he's working on it!

It always amazes me how these guys make it all the way to the pros without basic corrections being made. same with lineman and footwork....drives me nuts, luckily, it was a short trip.

But yes, glad to see the effort.

Well, I liked the pick after the trade was made and I have liked it more and more over the months.

My main complaint was that he tried the "shoulder pad catch" and it looks like he's working on correcting that. Good stuff.

That would be awful good for the 2nd WR... but it is possible. I definitely think 7 TD's are doable.
I actually don't think that's too optimistic, assuming he and Romo stay healthy. Austin had 943/6 two years ago. Austin and Williams combined for 980/5 last year. The TDs are definitely there for the taking: the TEs caught 10 of them last year, which is really unusual for the Cowboys.

I believe the challenge for Williams is when DC put their #1 shutdown corner on him and bracket Des with double coverage daring Witten or 3rd WR to beat us by himself.

He is working on his hands right now, but I think he needs to work on his technique and strength to beat press coverage against CBs like Sherman.

I like to keep my hands on them. Around them. Near them. You name it.
If you can dodge a JUGS you can dodge a ball...

Not initially... He caught a TON of balls in the breadbasket his rookie year...

His knee injury his second year was the best thing that happened to him as when he came back, he was catching with his hands...

You're right that he had strong hands and he learned how to use them during his rehab...

that's true about most rookies. they learn. those who don't, don't stay around much
