Well, Terry Glenn, thank you for proving me right. On two points, that you're a punk, and that you would find trouble long before TO ever did after signing with this team.

Find your zoloft and run back to your daddy. He's in Miami these days, by the way.

I don't know if the most recent arrest reflects "demons" so much as immaturity. He likes to party and makes bad decisions - at least he isn't driving or endangering people.

What's so odd is that Terry Glenn was known for being too serious and very removed.

Furthermore, if I am not mistaken, I believe at some point he had to raise his siblings because something happened to his parents.

You gotta credit Parcells for loving those good, old-fashioned high character quality guys...

I love how the title also says that Terry Glenn is a former Dallas Cowboys player... Last time I checked, he played with the Patriots and Green Bay as well... He was also drafted by Parcells and brought to Dallas by Parcells...

Why not mention these things...

It's a Dallas-based paper. The last team Glenn played for were the Cowboys. His tenure with Green Bay was a blip in his career. No need to mention it. His tenure with the Pats were irrelevant.

I wonder what type of personal demons this guy is trying to run away from?

I know a few years ago he was arrested for take a "leak" in a trash can in Oak Cliff.

I hope he gets his manages to get his life back in order.

Just guessing but his mother was murdered when he was young and he's suffered from chronic depression. But he's been doing well the last few years I thought. Too bad.

well that is unfortunate to hear.

Like cl said, he must be a guy that needs a certain amount of structure around him or things break down on him.

If you have issues and all of a sudden you have all the time in the world and a ton of money you will probably end up with some serious problems.

THis really is pretty bizzare to read. How wasted must he have been to be walking around naked?

It wouldn't surprise me if he has a lot of personal demons. He never knew his father. His mom was in and out of prison. She was found in an abandoned building beaten to death when he was 13 (that tattoo on his neck is his mother's name). He had been living with his grandmother, and then his grandmother died. He bounced around living with aunts and getting into trouble until a friend's family adopted him (and probably saved his life). His cousin and best friend was shot down a year later. Another close friend was shot and killed right after that. He went off to Ohio State and his best friend on the team, Jayson Gwinn, died in a car accident.

Here's a long article about his childhood The Sporting News wrote his senior year at Ohio State.

Playing football probably gave him enough structure to keep him focused. Now he's left to his own devices with a lot of free time and money on his hands. He was a good teammate and a good professional for the Cowboys. I hope he rises above his demons.

A football player drinks and smokes!?!?!? omg I never would have thought :omg:

First Michael Phelps, now this... I never knew so many oung people liked to drink and smoke

This is stupid... a relatively young person is drinking and smoking like the rest of his peers do, and everybody says how sad it is; meanwhile... people are making threads suggesting we sign Ray Lewis, who helped his friends murder someone

Nope, sure doesn't. I'm sure many people have done that.

But men, no matter what, aren't assaulting women. That's what makes him a bad guy. It's a punk move.

You don't? Even if you don't "feel sorry" for him, it seems some compassion is in order. JMO.

Terrell Owens didn't have a great childhood as well, and he grew up with his grand-ma, without parents. He doesn't do drugs and beat women... So when Glenn walks around naked and high, you seek to excuse him, but when TO has his 'suicide' incident, you find it reason to condemn him.. Pac-man Jones father was murdered and his mother was drug addict. I don't see you affording him any sympathy...
