I agree with this, but I think on a 1 year deal, we'd be the beneficiaries of a restricted FA tag on him. So, basically, we'd be able to see what he does while Houston effectively pays for it.

I’m not following you. We would have him cheap for the rest of THIS season.

So for waivers he has to go through all the crappy records before our 8-4 shows up right?

Well, at this point of the season, there's no need to cut him anyway. He'd be on a 1 year deal with the Texans paying his contract. All we have to do is sit back and let him show what he can do. I think we'd get the comp pick if he does go elsewhere after the season anyway, so we're essentially picking up a rental to obtain a potentially deeper playoff run and an extra draft pick later while paying next to nothing.

It makes sense to give him a look which is the exact reason Stephen will not do it.

This guy is what is known as a human turd. Give him guaranteed money and watch him call it quits. I would not give him the sweat off my gonads. You want to build your team the wrong way this guy is the poster child for the wrong way. If you can sign him to a one or two year deal with no guarantees then go for it but buyer beware. Know what kind of a turd you are letting into your locker room.

Grubby little Zach isn't playing for no vet minimum either. He is gonna want another big fat juicy guaranteed bag of money to shove into his greedy little pocket. If you are a team that wants to waste your cap dollars on a guy that only cares about himself you have come to the right place.

It will cost money and cap? He has a huge guarantee and is top 3 paid LB.

Yes, remaining part of this year. as far as who to cut that's a bit harder esp since were getting a lot of players back.

I heard Kamara and Bernard were hurt playing too much Xbox ;)

This is a joke to stash them on IR

Don’t know much about him, but another team cut him so he has to be better than what we have on the roster now

When would we find out if he clears waivers or is claimed?

I guessing IF a team wanted him bad enough they wouldn't risk waiting to see if he clears waiver. Just send the Texans a 7th round pick. My point is this leads me to believe he'll likely clear waivers.
