TRADED Texans trade WR Brandin Cooks to Cowboys

He had 81 and 90 catches with Texans in 2000 and 2001, with one of the worst supporting casts in the league. You have no clue what you are talking about.
Cooks wasn't in the league during those years so double-check stats before telling someone they have no clue what they are talking about.

You get a very good wr for 12 million and a 5th and 6th.

This is a hell of a deal, imo. As good as the Gilmore deal.
You mean they gave up a 5th and 6th for Cooks? I just don't get excited about disgruntled players. They got a 5th and swap of 6ths for Cooper so depending on how you feel Cooks compares to Cooper this deal is good or bad. We'll see how it works out.

This is not typical front office behavior. I genuinely wonder if they are doing a soft ‘all-in’ to assess the future of a Dak-led team. I don’t hate this trade if they are targeting Cooks as a slot guy. I think they have $ to make one more decent move. They will probably try and wait for comp picks to be unaffected before they spend any money in FA. Wouldn’t mind it if they resigned Hankins though.

I guess you can't make everyone happy on here. Kudos to the Cowboys for not giving up HUGE draft capitol for cooks. Only thing that's huge is the money. You'd rather have him and all the headaches OBJ brings, Dhop doesn't have the speed we need. Making this move takes a high priority to a lower priority in the draft. So getting that WAR DADDY of a DT early in the draft might be a chance. Please give your thoughts, don't worry be happy! Let's go Cooks, COOK these defenses!!

This actually could be a one year deal....he has no guaranteed money left in his contract after this year....if he pans out they could extend him.

TOLD YOU GUYS BEFORE THAT BIG TRADES HAPPEN ON THE WEEKENDS!!
Wait.

I read this several times.

The Brandin Cooks deal is a ‘big trade?” In what way? Is it the quantity of picks invested by both teams to make the acquisition happen..?

He's had 2 1000+yard seasons in his last 3 years with the Texans...with Davis Mills 2 out of the 3.
I don't think it's a bad move considering it's late picks Jerry would have used on 6th Tight End. Some won't be happy unless they trade a 7th to Miami for Tyreek and Waddle
