Texas Rangers 2013 Thread

Reminds me of my NY Mets in the mid 2000's, they are just now starting to replenish their farm system and almost finished off paying those ridiculous contracts. I still am perplexed how they are paying Bobby Bonilla until 2035 and he hasn't swung a bat in a decade
Bobby B signed the contract of the century. Mets were a brain dead organization for so long.

Putting a whomping on the blowpen.

Angels had no chance tonight anyway. Roth was never going to beat Yu.

Damn I missed the game. Need highlights.

It got quite fun for a little while. We completely destroyed them in the 4th.

Oh, Yu.

I havent been watching as much as I should, I close on a house tomorrow and have been packing and wrapping up lacrosse season. I will be very glad to sit down and watch some games on my new TV once settled in the new house.

It has been great to see the team playing well for the most part, sitting in first place is good stuff!

Anyways, seeing the score from last night and reading the box score makes me a happy camper.

Absolutely nasty stuff from Yu. The fastball was working in his favor last night better than I think I've ever seen it. And if the fastball is working... how on earth are you supposed to hit this guy?

Glad he's a Ranger.

Yu Darvish is a treat to watch pitch. When he's on, he's in a class of his own.

It's crazy how much Rangers gear you see in Austin these days.

I've always thought that they belong to the rest of Texas just as much as they belong to the DFW. I don't think most have considered it that way though.

Oh I agree with that. There's a definite connection with the rest of Texas, which is why it was such a great move to have "Texas" in their title.

There is a few Astros hold outs around the state, and of course in Houston. And the Yankees have fans everywhere.

Definitely. The Texas name, uniforms, ballpark, and the aura about them just screams "Texas". To me, they have the most "Texas" feel of any pro sports teams in the state.

It is crazy the amount of Rangers gear you see here in Austin. Just three years ago I would easily go about a week or so between seeing someone with Rangers stuff on. Now its daily. Good stuff. I still sport a Rangers shirt I bought back in 1999, its old school.

skipped an opportunity to go see olt and profar tonight at round rock.

After my move I will be pretty close to the Dell Diamond. Looking forward to seeing more games.

Tied for best record in the majors !

Plus , I saw we have two 19 year olds leading the (AA?) minors in home runs.

They say Darvish might have the most varied repertoire of pitches in the MLB. He has at least 5 plus pitches that he can turn to at any given time.
