Texas Rangers Thread

Toronto is just on fire...the crowd is hungry. A Cubs/Jays World Series will end up being dangerous to whichever city loses

I just peeked in here because I noticed all the fireworks going on during that game (wow.) Saw your post and wanted to add: Chicago will probably need extra security if the Cubs even make it to the World Series, win or lose!! I'm a Cubs fan, I'm rooting for them like crazy....but I'm glad I don't live in Chicago!! LOL

Losers! Holland, Elvis, Moreland, Hamilton. They wet their pants in this series...all damaged goods. The ship has sailed with them. I like Banister, I think he is/will be better than Ron Washington. He needed this playoff experience. The only thing left now is to let the kids like Odor, Deshields, (and eventually Gallo) continue to get experience. Unfortunately, we are stuck with Elvis forever because of the contract.

With all of the stunning things that happened, I'm stunned most by the meatball Dyson served up. Can't believe he gave up a home run like that... talk about ridiculous.

Ultimately, they just didn't hit enough to win. They only scored 2 "real" runs today and too many bats struggled. Moreland was useless all series long and Fielder, Choo and Hamilton weren't much better. If it wasn't for Odor they may not have scored a run all series. Still, there has never been a Rangers team quite like this one. They easily have the worst talent of any Rangers playoff team, but they were the grittiest by far. Proud of these guys.

Cant remember ever seeing a give away like the Rangers did with this. Ridiculous.
we're good at it

Future is bright. Have Mazara and Brinson who are close. They both have 6-7 written all over(all-star). They also have 3 pitchers in the minors who have TORP ceilings in Luis Ortiz, Dillon Tate and Michael Matuella. Plus Darvish is coming back.

My prediction is Prince gets traded and they make a run at a power RH bat like Cespedes.

The Rangers had a very good season.

The offseason for Texas will be interesting. They only have 10 guys under contract with a present payroll hit of almost $120 mil committed.

That's wishful thinking... not with another 5 years left on his deal at well over $20 mil per season. On top of that you have his body-shape, age and losing power year after year... He's going to be a Rangers for a while.

The Astros will take him off our hands. :muttley:

I think this is bad year for the mets(if they win vs dodgers).Meaning the cubs might be a destiny team.

I'd be ok if cubs win... 107 years is a longggggg time.

As long as Canada doesn't win.

The next team up is the Dallas Stars. Most exciting team in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
