LOL... heard a bit of that today yeah. A few jerks too, but not unexpected. Probably the funniest was another guy in a Mariners shirt walked by us and like tapped me on the shoulder after the game... I just kinda shrugged like "what are ya gonna do?" He returned the shrug. I Lol'd.

cool. Did you look at the big house down the street...

I thought you lived in cali or did you just go to school at pepperdine?
Got a real good look at it. I went to Tuesday night's game too, and drove right up next to it. I'm not a big picture taker, so I never remember that stuff. But everything's enclosed now, which wasn't the case last time I saw it. It looks completed except for the parking lots which are in progress.

I did live in Cali when I joined the board, and yes went to Pepperdine.

Cool. I might go to tomorrow nights game, It depends on my wifes mood and if she has the patience for the kids without me.

When i get bored and have some time I like to drive by and look at the stadium.

If I went to pepperdine I would never leave that area I dont think!!! I have a cousin who graduated from there 3 years ago with a Phd in international law I think....it was....either way she loved it there, but hated driving so went back to manhattan.

The campus looks awesome, that must have been some kind of experience.

Chris Davis and the Rangers celebrate his two-run walk-off homer in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Another May run?

The Rangers posted a club-record 19 wins in May 2008 after a 10-18 start. They’re doing the same thing so far this season after a 10-11 April, and they’re doing it with pitching.

Category April May
ERA 5.65 3.06
Starters avg. inn. 6.0 6 2/3
HR 41 15
HR allowed 33 8
Record 10-11 10-3

This team really seems to have great locker room chemistry. They just seem to like each other--even before they got on a roll. Now they're having a blast.

I didn't even realize they played early yesterday. I came home all ready to crank up MLB.tv to find out the Rangers had already won! I watched the condensed version, then watched the bottom of the ninth.

That is good stuff. As for the Angels, they are playing great baseball right now (quite possibly better than the Rangers) and yet they are or have been missing many of their best players. (John Lackey, Ervin Santana, Kelvim Escobar, and Vladimir Guerrero)

This weekend's showdown with the Angels should be interesting, though I have a foreboding feeling about it. :(

The rangers are not as good as the angels. My hope is they can at least hold serve at home! The angels have the rangers number. Is vlad playing tonight? The rangers havent got him out in like 5 years!!!

There is some bad blood with these teams still from two years ago with feldman and that brawl! So that makes their games even better.

If the team wants to get some serious momentum and some real credit from around the league they will get 2 of these 3 this weekend.

Nope, Vlad will miss the entire series. He is batting I believe .395 against the Rangers over the last four years. :bang2:

John Lackey will make his first start of the year against the Rangers on Saturday.

If the Rangers take two of three, you *might* actually hear the Rangers name on ESPN! :laugh2:

The campus is just unbelievable. Like you can't imagine how beautiful it is, pictures don't do it justice. It was pretty hard to leave there, but after paying rent there for 3 years, that pushed me enough to come back. I still love to go visit every chance I get. I graduated three years ago this month too, but i doubt I'd know your cousin, with the different programs and all. I don't remember too many inter-school mixers ;)

Great win again last night, but the MLB has to do something about the erratic strike zones.

CJ Wilson really really sucks right now.

With that win, the Rangers can lose the last two against the Angels and will still be in first place.

The only thing that can stop the First Place Texas Rangers right now? (Besides a CJ Wilson meltdown)

It's gonna be tough today since they're facing their nemesis, Jared Weaver...we'll see If Feldman's act can compare..btw FPTR are 9-2 in the division! I know that Oakland and LA are down some this yr but ya gotta give FPTR their due, too.

Another pitching gem, who'da thunk it?

Considering we are talking about Ranger pitching. It reminds me of a quote from Major League.

The Rangers have to cut down on the strikeouts. Last night was embarrassing.

Speaking of, Verlander is pitching tonight and his strikeouts are up. I believe he has had at least 11 strikeouts in each of his last three games. That means tonight, like last night could be another long night... :(

So, what are the odds that the Rangers won't get swept by the Tigers again?

It's 1-1 in the 3rd right now.
