I hear ya and understand. I make fun w/ you all the time regarding TX/OU. I hope you take what I say in that regard (just funnin). We had our issues in the past over these games but I think we understand we are both rugged fans until the end. I respect you for that.

I made my reference to you because I like you. Its just me stirrin the pot. I hope you didn't take what I said to heart. I don't mean to sound like I am being cross w/ you.

I think you and I are similar in that regard. We make our funnies w/ a slight litle GIG back at our ole buddy crying in his beer.

I hope the Sooners are up to the task. I think the offense is. Its the defense I am worried about.

Hopefully they can get it turned around on the D. Our LB corp are just a bunch of babies out there now. Learning w/ every snap.

We got some bad news yesterday. Austin English could miss 2-3 games. That wont help the D any.

excuses? what is the difference between excuses and analysis.......the perspective of the reader, that is all.

I will take the bait, cause I was complaining about the officiating a lot. I feel that TT got away with a lot on Saturday, especially offensive holding and illegal hands to the face by their OL. You cannot grab the facemask of the DE or DT and drive their head backwards, that is a penalty....but the refs never called it.

TT played out of their minds. That defense, especially the front 4 looked like the Steel Curtain or the late 70s Doomsday. They were living in the backfield the entire 1st half. Colt was running for his life. TT had some nice success running the football and their WRs seemed to always be open. Those kids played the game of their lives.

As far as Texas, they didn't run the ball very well. They also had far too many dropped passes. Shipley dropped a few, including one that could have been a TD, but definitely would have been a 1st down. almost all of the Texas drops negated what could have been at least a first down.

The clock management at the end of the game was not very good. They should have taken more time off the clock before they scored the go ahead TD. If they would have waited 20 seconds before running that one play, even if they scored, TT would have only been left with about 1:05 instead of 1:31. Then, TT got a very nice KO return. If the Texas kick coverage team ever needed to step up, that was the time to do so. Instead TT got the ball at the 40 with 1 timeout and 1:31 left.

Even after all of that, if Gideon merely catches that tipped ball, it goes to Texas with 8 seconds left.....they kneel and win by 1. he dropped it, and Crabtree scored on the next play.....mainly cause the safety didn't do his job and also, Brown didn't learn from the first half when Harrell and Crabtree did the same thing to him.

So prop to Tech....

and next time your team loses, why dont you show up and take the verbal beating. At least us Horns fans were here in masses. We didnt run and hide.

If TT beats OSU, I am rooting for them to run the table.....cause I dont want OU to beat them and then have to deal with three 1 loss teams and all the tiebreaker nonsense. It would also give a Big 12 team a shot at the National Championship, since TT would have beaten UT, OU, and OSU.....

If TT loses to OSU, I am rooting for OU to beat them. This would give UT the Big 12 South title and send them to the Big 12 Championship and still have a decent shot to play for the National Championship.

I haven't been on since before the game started, and just wanted to say congrats to the Raiders fans. That was hard to watch after the comeback by the Longhorns only to have Tech score with :01 on the clock. And having to work with a lot of Raider fans... ah well.

Tech plays OSU 1st a loss to OSU will drop them but they still have the tie breaker over Texas. So hopefully when OU facing Tech they will not be ranked that high and a Tech loss to OU will still be needed if that Happens Texas goes to the Big 12 not Oklahoma and chances are will face Mizz once again that will be more than enough to get Texas past OU who will not make the big 12 championship game.

Not necessary. As I said OU faces Tech after OSU plays them this week. An OSU win will drop Tech out of the spot they are currently hold in the BCS. As for OU they have Tech and OSU remaining on their schedule and Texas has the easiest road compared to the rest.

you are automatically assuming that osu will defeat tech ---in luboock---. and right now, ou NEEDS the toughest road. the only way they have a chance is to defeat high ranked teams.

now if osu wins, as i said earlier. we will all be fine. ou's only chance would be a bcs game (which disgusts me because they will just go lose again).

I tell you that stadium was rocking and I knew it was going to be a tough game after the 1st Texas snap when Chris Ogbonnaya was nailed for a safety. I also knew Texas would make a comeback against Tech but just did not finish it up with a critical drop of an easy int off the tipped pass. I give the credit to the Red Raiders they came to play.
