excuses? no excuses....the refs sucked...

luckily for those stupid zebras, those kids on both sides of the ball played their butts off and overcame the horrible calls. luckily both teams were able to give all of us fans an exciting 4 hours of football.

unfortunately my team didnt make the plays to win. too many dropped passes. too much pressure on McCoy. dropping 2 potential INTs late in the 4th quarter. Not triple teaming Crabtree on that last play. If anything, let Crabtree catch it and then hold him up inbounds and let him fight until the clock runs out and then tackle him.

i just dont see why Texas doesnt run the ball the way TT does. those running plays that Tech uses are quite effective. they have a nice blocking scheme. there is no reason why Texas cant do the same thing.

that TT DLine played their butts off. I knew they would come out fired up, but I figured they would flame out by the end of the 1st quarter. However, those kids kept it up all game long. I am definitely impressed.

Oh well, at least Texas lost to an instate school not named A&M.....I can live with that.

I am more disappointed with the injury to Orakpo, than I am that we lost. I hope it is just a minor thing, and he was held out of the remainder of the game for precautionary reasons. It also sucked that Cosby missed almost the whole game. At least Miller came back after he went down, guess he was just winded. I hate seeing any of these kids get hurt.

I feel sorry for Baylor next week.

Texas' 4 game gauntlet of OU, Mizz, OSU then the buzzsaw of Tech, was just too much too overcome. Guess there's a reason no ones done it since ND in the 40's.

Props also to the Horns for their 2nd half. Damn near pulled it out, can't be upset at that at all considering the players we had go down.

And just a final note to you class acts, coming in here and calling me out 2 qtrs after the opening kick. Try showing up PRIOR to the game starting and not waiting for the bandwagon to pass your house with a lead, before you jump on.

Better yet, how about showing up AFTER your team loses to Texas (and you know who you are!), and being man enough to offer a "congrats"?

I said earlier this year I am not sure any team in the Big 12 can go undefeated

Texas, OU, Mizzouri and Tech where no surprises as being good teams coming into this year I knew OkSt would be solid but man they are have jumped even higher than I expected

Kansas is about where I thought they be good not great able to pull off an upset if someone sleeps on them

And I would take the top 5 Big 12 teams over Pen State anyday of the week

Believe me we thought the game was lost when we needed a field goal to win. I'll never forget the brilliance that is Crabtree again.

Sorry I do what I feel is in the Horns best interest. I'll root for the Commanders if it will help the Cowboys. you just dont understand. texas' hardest game from now on is kansas, and they won't be ranked high enough to counter ou defeating a top 15 team and a #2/#1 team. if ou beats tech and they are ranked 2 or better, you had better hope and pray that they lose to oklahoma state.

Tech plays OSU 1st a loss to OSU will drop them but they still have the tie breaker over Texas. So hopefully when OU facing Tech they will not be ranked that high and a Tech loss to OU will still be needed if that Happens Texas goes to the Big 12 not Oklahoma and chances are will face Mizz once again that will be more than enough to get Texas past OU who will not make the big 12 championship game.

All I've done/did, is make a prediction thread concerning the UT/OU and UT/TT games, PERIOD. No trash talk, junior high comedy pics etc etc.

Then in both threads, posted congrats on either a good, hard fought game, or out right congrats to the winner.

Saturday night, when I'm not even IN the forum, I'm getting called out multiple times, even singled out by one of those tuffs, with the backhanded comment regarding congrats to all the "cool horn fans, good game. But to CowPoke" basically a haha, **.

Trust me, I'm pretty thick-skinned, especially when it comes to forum boards. But honestly, it baffles me why someone I've never even addressed directly, feels the need to hurl insults my way, for what appears to be solely because I authored the thread?

I hear ya and understand. I make fun w/ you all the time regarding TX/OU. I hope you take what I say in that regard (just funnin). We had our issues in the past over these games but I think we understand we are both rugged fans until the end. I respect you for that.

I made my reference to you because I like you. Its just me stirrin the pot. I hope you didn't take what I said to heart. I don't mean to sound like I am being cross w/ you.

I think you and I are similar in that regard. We make our funnies w/ a slight litle GIG back at our ole buddy crying in his beer.
