Greg Davis isn't the greatest playcaller and the guys who have had the ultimate success with him have been guys who can improvise and buy time.

I think Gilbert was forced to get this mentality last week and I hope it carries over into this week.

Well what I saw were turnovers by Texas players and poor execution from Texas offense more than I saw bad play calling. I saw WR running routs short of where they needed to be which caused Texas to punt the ball or turn the ball over on downs. Guys need to know where the sticks are and get the proper depth on those routes.

Oh I completely agree. Don't get me wrong. But for the offense to reach its full potency I think Gilbert needs to make plays outside of the system.

I think he'll do that once they go back to the spread which is what im assuming they will do this week.

They ran allot out of the spread in this past game but guys need to understand the down and distance as well as the situations. Guys like Jordan Shipley knew what the situations were and where he needed to be to move those chains and righ now I see some young WR making too many catches under the 1st down marks in critical situations. I think this will comes as these young guys learn and grow as players.
