Thank you, Troy Aikman.

I think you are being generous. I truly believe he would have to be top 5 at a minimum and immediately produce playoff wins and Super Bowl appearances and victories.

Unrealistic expectations for sure.

Don't forget. He'd have to wear his hat the "normal" way too.

And it'd probably be best if he was married. That way he couldn't have a personal life. :)

I always enjoy Troy more when Buck isn't with him. I think that says more about Joe Buck than it does Troy Aikman.

What a nice contrast to the other stupid thread going off on Troy. Some people are so stupid.....

:laugh2:

I can only laugh and agree. They ignore all the great things Troy says about Tony, and anything negative Troy is instantly "jealous" or "biased"

If Parcells had stayed for 2 more seasons, Romo already would have a ring.

Now, if we had a legit GM, it's likely Romo would have a ring already also.

The problem is Parcells is gone and our GM is an idiot, so we'll have to use hope as a strategy.

Troy Aikman presented a timely and poignant defense of Tony Romo during today's broadcast. More than just a defense, it was a subtle admonishment of both the media and the fans for their harsh and often unfair treatment of the Cowboys quarterback.

Major kudos to you, Mr. Aikman.

This was a big game and an impressive win. No one will be able to convince me otherwise. Earlier this week, I said that a nine point victory over the Falcons would thoroughly impress me. Therefore, I suppose a 16 point victory is immensely impressing.

Prior to the game, I ranked the Falcons as the fourth best team in the NFC and solidly in the tier of playoff contenders. With the Cowboys' victory today, they not only emerged into the tier of playoff contenders, they kicked in the door.

The Seattle game presents an excellent opportunity to start developing consistency.

Unfortunately though, no one will remember this game as a "big win" three weeks from now. It will be condemned and justified, as all of Romo's big moments are.

Meanwhile, I'll be grinning -- and damn happy we have one helluva quarterback.

According to the Fox Network, today marked Romo's record-setting 19th 300 yard passing game. He's not perfect by any stretch. He has some tendencies that are often his undoing.

However, Romo's positives far outweigh his negatives, in my opinion. It's amazing what decent pass protection -- especially from the running backs -- can do for a quarterback's efficiency. Aikman also remarked on the superb blitz pickup of the Cowboys' backs.

Exactly, Matt Ryan has been getting good protection, up until this game and he has been described Aikmanesque. He looked like a struggling quarterback against the Cowboys.

Give Tony some protection and a go to receiver and you see a quarterback that is invigorated and confident and capable in making amazing plays again.

I still can't get over the Tony haters. Can you imagine how good his replacement would have to be?

He would have to be better than Peyton Manning or Tom Brady in order to make that crowd happy. He would have to complete 90+% of his passes, throw zero INTs, and win every game, especially games in December and the playoffs.

Nimrods!

Yea I liked Aikman today. He and Moose are both good analysts I think. I'm not sure if that has to do with my love for the Cowboys or what. But that opinion seems to be agreed upon by fans of other teams. But due to their past teams everyone thinks they d-rides the Cowboys. Its got to be hard for Moose and Troy. I can hear them sometimes trying to hide their Cowboy love and I think they do a good job of it but it sucks they have to do that to appease the idiot fans who think they put the Cowboys before their analyzing of the game.

Yeah I like Aikman's commentary. He is a proven winner. Its worth a listen.

Its so funny... Moose was disagreeing with Tony Siragusa more than a few times yesterday. Its refreshing. As opposed to adding to someone's wrong commentary.

Aikman doesnt hide it. He just goes out of his way and sometimes overdoes it. Whereas Moose, will say something pro Cowboy or get all giddy about something Cowboys.

I'm surprised to hear anything even considering Aikman's broadcasting. I have considered him the best in the game now for about 2 years. He doesn't favor anything and he knows every rule in and out and can decipher what is happening and what happened in about 2 seconds. He is an outstanding broadcaster if you ask me. And i'm not trying to be homer style. I once sent something to one of those ESPN things asking for Emmitt's removal as it was destroying his legacy in my mind...:lmao:
