Pay close attention joe.

Jerry does not want to pay new coaches to be on garrett's staff while he pays the guys they would replace also...

this is a money issue. Jerry probably knows he is going to have to fire garrett and then in turn the whole staff so it seems he is making the whole staff ride it out together.

We already hit the iceberg....just filling the boats at the moment.

and fwiw I support not bringing turner here. Time for a new fresh set of coaches with a background of succeeding currently in the league not chasing people who did stuff here years ago.

unless they wanted Holmgren. then I am all in for Holmgren.

Pay close attention theebs.... Lol

Jerry hired the coaches that are no good and need to be replaced.
Getting a new assistant coach while field coaches get paid is the price jerry has to pay :)

This, IMO, would have a lot to do with the fact that if Garrett doesn't make the playoffs, and make noise there, that he's not going to be in Dallas beyond this year so it's likely that he isn't interested in having coaches here that Garrett wants, on a potential long term, if he's not sold that Garrett is going to be here beyond this year.

I don't know if any of that is the case and I'm not saying it's right either way but that's just the feeling I got.

Spot on!

If they were to Holmgren and keep Kiffen I'm sure we'd set a record for the oldest staff in the NFL ever. :)

We can't lose with that kind of thinking.

The coaches that Jerry hand picked have been a bust in year one... So just to hedge your poor decision, keep them around for year two. Don't let the head coach that is fighting for his Coaching position-life pick coaches of his own so he can at least pass or fail with his own decisions.

Puh-thetic!

I won't disagree with you there. I'm not saying it's the right way just that it's what I feel is going on.

Norv sucks. He runs the same crap offensive scheme as JG. You think rivers misses him? Heck no, norv's crap scheme held rivers back similarly to what's been happening in Dallas for a long time. The stats look good but they don't show up in the win column. We need a young innovative HC that can implement an offense that can utilize weapons to their full potential. Put guys in motion, move the pocket, run pick plays, let the qb roll put, more play action, maybe go to a more up tempo style like the broncos a do more no huddle.
