Dude has a serious pair. That's what the Cowboys need in a coach/organizational leader.

As Jimmy Johnson would say, "They are not paper mache!" Seriously, that Boise State team reminded me of how the 1991 Cowboys went into RFK and defeated an unbeaten Commanders team with Buerlein playing QB the 2nd half. :dissskin:

If they were smart, they would stay within their niche, which is collecting the players that are good, but for whatever reason won't be attractive to the PAC-10 schools.

If they try to compete with the big boys closer to home for most of these kids, they will lose.

If were a hotshot prospect from L.A., would you go live in Boise?

I don't even think someone from Boise wants to live in Boise.

Whenever possible, please tell everyone you know Boise is a terrible place to live.
It is one of the fastest growing, most affluent(per capita), cities in the country and I wish it would stop growing.

Gotta love East-of-the-Rockies sports bias. I once had a room-mate from a Big Ten school who refused to believe Marshall Faulk was any good (in college) since he played for SD State. Just wasn't possible, according to him.
I told him he should ask for a refund from his university.

Despite their two losses, you have to be happy you're not facing the USC defense that Michigan faced yesterday ;)

I'm just worried about Florida...They're all I'm thinking about.:D

When you lose to UCLA with the National Championship Game on the line...well you obviously don't deserve to be there.;)

GO BUCKS!

I have a good friend in Boise, have visited it 4-5 times over the last 5-6 years. There is no way you are going to get big stars from Texas, Florida or California to come there. Just no way.

It's not really a bad place at all. My father has an aunt that lives there that I once visited.

But Idaho in general has a somewhat unfair reputation. All people know about it is the potatoes.

Some kid in East L.A. is probably just in the dark as well.

Well, for better and worse, BSU's regularly scheduled WAC, Pac-10, and MWC slaugherfests televised on ESPN the past few years are changing the visibility thing for the football program.
Perception is a funny thing. A dozen white supremacists in Northern Idaho got the whole state labeled as a white power enclave.
I suppose if it all came down to perceived quality of life then Hawaii would dominate every college sport every year.
