That Signature Role

Tough call on both... how 'bout:

Walter Brennan - Stumpy in Rio Bravo

John Wayne - Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn in True Grit (my favorite); in Rooster Cogburn w/ K. Hepburn

And I'd add...

Clint Eastwood - Josey Wales in The Outlaw Josey Wells... followed by the Man with No Name lone gunslinger character he played in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western Classics, especially the first in the series ... A Fistful of Dollars ... which established the character.

Those are the exact roles I had in mind for them.

Clint Eastwood.....Josey or Dirty Harry.

Oh, man... of course!

After Clint Eastwood brought him to life, nobody else could ever hope to do justice to Dirty Harry, IMO.

That's THE scene to remember. Classic lines! Perfect Dirty Harry video clip, EBZ.

"Go ahead - Make my day" is in the mix of "not quite as good, but other" memorable Dirty Harry quotes...

I see Natalie as Queen Amidala, or the chick in Black Swan

Yeah, DallasEast said Black Swan too. I've never seen a single Star Wars movie so I can't comment on that. I think I also lean toward her performance in Leon the Professional because she was so young which made it that much more impressive.

If there is ever the remote chance that you'll give the films a chance, choose Episode IV: A New Hope. It was the first of the six which George Lucas initially establishes the fantasy universe. If that one puts you to sleep, forget about watching any of the rest--even though Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is arguably the best of the line.

This is a slight variation to the topic but a possible signature role--this is pure speculation--could be the kid who plays Joffrey from A Game of Thrones. If he goes on to have a big career I'm sure people will be looking at his performance on the show.

How about his performance in Batman Begins? :D
