That was a football game!

So how about that Manziel, played a pretty good game the other day.

No it wasn’t. Offense almost put me to sleep

I'm with you on this CouchCoach. This game had the same feeling as that 6-6 tie between Seattle and Arizona on Sunday night football a few years ago that ended on a blocked FG at the end. No one liked the tie and called it an ugly game but it was a defensive struggle to be appreciated if you aren't a fantasy football geek.

Depends on what you want but today's game leaves me cold, I grew up on that kind of game. If you get the chance to watch a replay of that game, just watch the line play, that was war. The only reason I think there weren't more flags is because I think the refs warned them.

Clint, some of the most beautiful football games I've ever seen were butt ugly.
I don’t mind defensive struggles. But that was offensive ineptitude on both sides. To me that isn’t good football.

Yeah, I know, some are going to be pissed, quote all the stats and the score and overlook the beauty of what that was. That was football!

That was the best example of real football I have seen this season and yes, it wasn't pretty, it's not supposed to be, it's football. The NFL wants to make it pretty, tonight these two teams crossed them up and it was a thing of beauty.

That was an old fashioned slugfest and these players are going to have more bruises from this game than any they've played in a long time. Both teams fought for every yard they got and will not soon forget this game.

You can be mad about losing and you can point out all the warts but tonight I saw a glimpse of what this game used to be about and there's not a player on either team that should hang their head tonight, neither left anything in the locker room.

I have never been more convinced that they should meet every season. My friends, Texas football stood proud tonight because it was all about toughness. This game was all about guts and the Boys have nothing to hang their heads about, they showed up and gave their best and I am proud of them.

If Dallas had Watson playing on it's offense it would have been a blow out.

both coaching staffs should be fired, Houston's red zone offense is the worst in history

Props to the defense that played its heart out and deserved to be rewarded with a win

Too bad the offense can’t stop ******** down it’s own pants

Yep. Worst than ours. Without their failed 4th down before half and early turnover in 3rd qtr would have been 20-6 heading down the stretch.

One of the most entertaining games I've watched from the cowboys in a long time

Defense kept us in the game but Houston shredded it between the 20’s just futile in Redzone.

Yeah,it was a tough match up. And it does have the makings of a good rivalry. It’s just Dallas looks like Swamp Thing with about every team they seem to play. Hmmm...I like that. I’m going to start calling the offense “Swamp Thing” from here on out.

We saw two futilities of NFL offensive football tonight.

This is the Cowboys worst offense since the early 2000’s in Campo era and Quincy.

We don’t have any playmakers on offense except Elliott. The Texans had one more who made the biggest play setting up winning kick.

We’re a 2-3 team a kick away from being 1-4. Not a very good team at this time which struggled against a 1-3 team again.

Can’t win in the NFL if you can’t put up points.

Agree.

The most fun I've had this year is watching Mahomes play. That's where the NFL is going.

It wasn't like either team was the 85 Bears tonight. Inept offense does not equal great defense.

As a Cowboy fan, it did suck making the walk of shame out of NRG tonight, but it was a fun football game. One thing you have to give to Houston, their home crowd knows how to bring the noise. We never took them out of it, but Cowboys nation travelled well, and in the late 3rd and 4th quarter, it was very loud in the stadium when Houston was on offense. It wasn’t enough, but I still had a good time. And the Texan fans were very cool, much better than the drunk aholes when I went to a Steeler game a couple years back.
