That's is, it has to be over...

We have a ton of top talent invested in our defense, as it should be. Now it's time to get out there and shut some folks down.

Honestly, you brought Parcells into the thread, not the other way around. Your original point about until he got here, LBers were of no use to Jerry and co, was correct. The rest was just another shot in the arse to BP on the way out. Especially since it wasn't like he knew Ware or Burnett when they were drafted.

I wouldn't claim to be a Parcells shill, but while you think it gets old to read stuff from the "I Heart Parcells" crowd, it gets old to read stuff from the "I HATE Parcells" crowd. They're both annoying.

Like clock work. NICE post. :clap2:

or lack thereof given we still cannot pressure the QB ;)

to be fair, most of them are only entering their 2nd or 3 years, and Ware has already arrived

In 2008, the starting front 7 could be:

DL: Spears, Stanley/Ola/Draft Pick, Canty

LB: Spencer, James, Burnett, Ware

That's about an average of age of 2.5 years in the NFL.

We've got a young group. And presuming they all perform, we can most likely "set it and forget it" for the next 5+ years.

I think Carpenter will be on the inside instead of James or Brunnett.

Draft position is extremely overrated. I think its only usefulness is with regard to contracts and the Salary Cap and the infamous bust factor.
