As a fan, the first two games come with a asterisk next to the Wins. Yes, our Cowboys are 2-0, but the mounting injury list of starters is concerning (that's an understatement) and has left me feeling hollow. I've wanted to be excited and celebrate both these divisional victories, but its hard too when star players like Romo and Dez are lost as a result.

The injury list continues with other notable players: CB Orlando Scandrick (out for the season); DT Terrell McClain (out for the season); QB Tony Romo (8 weeks); WR Dez Bryant (6 weeks); DE Randy Gregory (6 weeks); OL Ronald Leary (day to day); DE Jeremey Mincey (day to day); LB Rolando McClain (sus 4 games); DE Greg Hardy (sus 4 games); and future HOF TE Jason Witten hobbling.

The bright side is that most of these starters are projected back during the season barring any setbacks. So, in the mean time our depth will be tested. We've been hearing all offseason how much the Dallas Cowboys player depth has greatly improved.. and I tend to agree, but I guess we will truly see these coming weeks just how good they really are.

Unproven players that we need to step up include: CB Tyler Patmon; DT Davon Coleman; DT Ken Bishop; OT La'el Collins; DE Jack Crawford; WR Devin Street; WR Brice Butler; TE Gavin Escobar; DE Ryan Russell; and dare I say QB Brandon Weeden.

That's a lot to ask for I know and most teams would fold, But I believe Jason Garrett & CO. has rebuilt a championship caliber team able to weather the storm. And if the can, the Dallas Cowboys could be primed and ready for a Superbowl 50 invitation.

That said, its up the fans at home games to make a difference and help our limping team along. I'm talking about the 12th Man. Now, more than ever, the Dallas Cowboys need their fans to stand up...literally. I mean, we need to be Loud! Seattle Loud! If we are to survive the next 7-8 games without Romo and others, we have to be unable to talk come Mondays. The Cowboys will host the Falcons (2-0), Patriots (2-0), Seahawks (0-2), and the Eagles (0-2) at home during this stretch. I would love nothing more than to kick their butts and give those teams a taste of their own medicine. Dallas has been criticized as of late for their lack of enthusiasm..

Its time to change perception because your team needs you now. I think its well know how crowd noise can effect games, but I've pasted a couple of articles to refresh our memories:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1885183-how-does-the-12th-man-really-affect-nfl-games

And I hate this memory of the Vikings/Cowboy playoff game in the Metrodome in 2009 against old man Favre:

http://www.foxsports.com/north/story/top-10-metrodome-moments-in-vikings-history-122613

"Crowd noise contributed to the Cowboys' protection problems during the divisional playoff matchup, in which the Vikings sacked Romo six times, hit him 10 and held him to 198 yards passing and a 66.1 rating on 35 attempts."

To conclude, The state of our Cowboys isn't great, but we are now built to handle adversity more so than we ever have over the last 20 years. Its time for us, the fans, to show are appreciation and make a difference. So Scream, yell, bang, stomp.. whatever you need to do to be LOUD! By all means necessary. Thanks for reading.

Josh Ellis of Star Mag said don't be surprised to see a lot of red jerseys. If true, those fans will undoubtedly be loud so the pro Cowboys fans will have to be even louder. That doesn't usually happen. I don't get the culture at AT&T, but I hope the home crowd falls in love with home team fast.

Its an art museum where an occasional football game breaks out.

Maybe we can bring the believe shirts back and get jerry world popping again. We can't have social gathering atmosphere out there.

Atlanta fans don't travel.

I wouldn't expect much for a noon game. People won't have enough time to hit the sauce! Although with Weeds playing I might need a lot to stomach it!

Speaking of which it seems like you could get a discount on tickets now. You could argue that there will be no stars out there playing and you want your pricing based on the QB #1 WR salaries! ;)

Some of our crowd needs to be educated on when to be "loud". If you watch the home games, the crowd will start cheering and getting " loud" on 3rd downs when we ( cowboys) are on offense. Perhaps the stadium crew should post " shhhhhhhh" , " hush y'all" or " callete" on the big screen. I know some of the noise can be contributed to the opposing team fans but I've witnessed fans in blue jerseys stand up all around me and start clapping and yelling on third down plus that multicolored lighting band starts shaking around the stadium and Wierd " get rowdy" noise starts playing.

I think this is one of those urban legends to a degree. The games I been too, which has been a lot of games. The crowd does know when to cheer on D, be more quit on O. Now sometimes, yes they were too loud on a 3rd down, fans cheering for them to get a first down. Some fans still have a lot to learn. LOL. That is when the announcers bring it to the audiences attention. So fans remember that and use it. How many times have they said, listen to the silent crowd...lol...yes, it has been mentioned at times, crowds know when to be quiet and when not to.
You need to remember too, some of those times are when there is a good crowd representing the opposing team making noise. You hear it a lot when we play in Arizona, a loud crowd when the Cardinals are in 3rd down situations. Youo heard it last year in Washington too.

And once the home crowd haters want to tear this post apart....then it's a conspiracy that the networks turn up the fan volume and filter out other noise when our offense is on the field to make it seem worse than it is...there is a way to spin anything one wants....

I thought about the possibility but didn't think that would be a problem with the Falcons. New England will be a different story.

To me, this feels like our first must-win game of this bifurcated season. While all games are important, whether we win or lose this one will tell us a lot about the Cowboys' ability to get into the playoffs. I hope those fans at the stadium feel the same urgency as well.

With our home crowd we'd be lucky to get the 11th woman.

Seriously. 75% of the people in there don't even know what 12th man means. Even at the Sunday night game against the giants, entire sections (on the 4th level!) were just sitting there. Then, a group started a "let's go Cowboys" chants when we're on offense.

And the Cowboys need to stop with the loud, stupid rap songs on every time-out. It's just.. STUPID.
