Considering Carter was considered a top 5 prospect I doubt they did either. But our draft still looks rather subpar at this point.

I mean it is. None of them are getting playing time. My argument is they aren’t getting playing time because our team is deep at certain positions.

More like the following year because the first year is spent rehabbing. That will hinder his development some. He may not even be a full go when camp starts depending on his rehab. It all depends on the player. It’s been well over a year since Gallup tore his ACL and he never returned to form.

I thought Mazi contributed nicely for a rookie DT.

Schoonmaker was a head scratching pick and then got hurt in camp.

Overshown was going to be the standout, 'STAR' from this class this year. (LB is an easier transition to the league and he is a very talented, modern LB)

the rest are lotto tickets. Brooks made a few catches...

Tell me with a straight face there weren’t several players you wouldnt have taken before Schoonmaker.

there would be a bunch of players I would take. that's bad evaluation on our part not knowing what we have. and then drafting a 25 year old rookie with foot problem

I would have take Torrence, Turner, Scruggs, Mims, steen and few others ahead of schoon.

the draft class itself has time to get better.Its the FO reaching for said players that annoys me. Mazi's skillset could have been gotten later in draft. Schoon was a luxury pick not a neccesity and he was a reach as well. Loved the 3rd round pick but unfortuntely we wont see the best of him till 2025

The best picks in 2023 draft were Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore and the UDFA's. At least they take the sting out of not drafting lineman earlier. it looks as if Bass may very well be a hit

The thing is even if Overshown was going to be a good player you don't know how he'll come back from the injury and it figures to take a year on the field before he's really back.

I'm not sure year 2 will be much better from this group.
