Not sure if its been covered in the detail it truely deserves but I think the Commanders might be headed for the first pick in next years draft.

By chance I watched much of their last two games. I think they are set up for a huge fall.

Thier OL is horrible. It can't run or pass block.

As bad as the OL was, it was overshadowed by Campbell. He sucks and he's not the answer.

If I were not banned from ES I'd go thier and apologize for comparing Campbell to Quincy Carter. Jason Campbell is no Quincy Carter.:laugh2:

he basically is. just add a lil better of a throwing arm and take away lil mobility and you have jason campbell.

but i can see them being in first place as a ten or eleven win team hypothetically saying their franchise moved to the nfc west or to nfc south or to the afc east right behind the pats. With the current players they have now.

their team looks alot worse in this division i dunno MO .they just simply arent talented enough to succeed in this division but arent head and shoulders behind the teams. taylor helps their d alot but their rook receivers being hurt wont help anything

i know this how? My Cousin and his best friend who visited are die hard fans from dc. and i had to hear about how much taylor is gonna "help them" this year for 4 nights in a row at various establishments.

This thread should be renamed the bad karma thread.

Crow is tough to eat, so be careful.

no dont worry we will sacrifice some goats and do some seances to offset it before the first game

Theebs is right anything can happen in this year especially with NFC east's schedule and given that teams recent history don't count them out. They usually start slow and finish with a flourish. Now that doesn't mean I won't root hard for a 6-10 finish for them, that would be sweet, but I think they will gut out an 8-8 finish give or take a loss.

It would be funny as hell for them to have the following happen: Zorn not be a leader of men and for his players to not believe in his system, their Oline to forget how to run block, their receivers to suck as usual, Campbell to be indecisive and slow with his releases, Blanche to be a fraud, for his blitzes to be Zimmeresque, their dline to be ineffective, and their defensive backfield to look lost and confused.

Its pretty obvious the Skins will blow, I wonder where all those "Commanders are winning the NFC East" fans now?

JINX

Hopefully I won't have to see this bumped this year

I live near New Orleans... so I could probably manage to get some ol' voodoo lady to throw some bones and scratch at the schedule with a rooster foot or something.

Maybe then we'd be safe talking about this.

I don’t know, but listening to the Washington commentators for their 47-3 defeat was the funniest thing I’ve heard in a while.

At one point they say…
1) “I feel like I fell asleep, woke up, and not one thing has changed.”
[FONT=&quot]2) “don’t worry it hasn’t. Go back to sleep.”

:laugh2:

I'll try to post some HD pix of their crash to earth.

That's hilarious. :laugh2:

Actually they are better than I thought but there is something missing and I can't see it. Maybe it's Campbell and the new staff. But they have some players over there. I'd be careful about trashing them. People do it here every year and we end up eating crow as much as they do and they end up better than many here think. I think they'll be in it for a playoff spot. But there is something wrong.

Need I remind people of this:

1989... Commanders go on to win superbowl. We go 1-15. Our one win? Commanders

1995... Commanders go 6-10. We go 12-4 and win the Superbowl. We lose 2 times to a horrible Commanders team.

Point is... No matter how wide the gap in talent, wierd things happen when these two teams get together.

That's a good bet. It's a QB driven league. Any team really weak at QB has a shot at the top pick.

There's something about this team's mix that I just don't like.

You have an inexperienced HC installing a WC offense for a QB with unsuitable skills for that offense.

It's a tough league and there's not one thing you can point to with this team and feel good about.

Had Campbell not gone down, they wouldn't have sniffed the post-season. It was a fluke! Had they not gone on that improbable run last year, most would have a much more critical eye on them this year.

This is not a 10 win team. Its not an 8 win team.

I say they have 4-12 written all over them.

I wouldn't do that Asthmafield she'd probably be a Saint fan and hex us while she is at it.

Anyone who judges how a team will do by preseason results is a novice to football. I would be more nervous about this team if Gibbs was coaching it, but I don't see them tanking.
