Schoonmaker was a head scratcher when we picked him and now the guy can barely get snaps over Brevyn Spann-Ford whom I think leap frogged him in the depth chart, which is sad because when you spend a 2nd rounder on a TE you expect him to become a starter.

Show me the regular season wins trophies.
What's that got to do with it? Wins are wins and draft picks are draft picks. 30 other teams didn't win that many games and they had the same opportunity in the draft.

Parcels is a HOF coach. May the football gods smite us with another coach as inept as him.

He probably gets us to a Super Bowl if Jerry hadn't foisted TO upon him.
Don’t disagree there. That 2007 team is more prepared for that Giants debacle at the very least. Some will say he was ready to quit but I’m not so sure. He technically only had his own defense in place for two years. He had regret in his voice going out, and Jerry was ready to step on in with a nicely built roster and a QB in place to claim it all as his own. We know the results.

On the free agent thing, BP was referring to bringing in players that he was familiar with and vice versa. These two are only familiar with the players they draft, so they don’t even interpret what he meant correctly.

Every NFL GM ought to be a least a little familiar with every player in the league, practice squads included, and I seriously doubt that either of these two are. One of them admits so. That’s a serious disadvantage when they are the ones who make the final call.

For me it’s beyond not believable that they haven’t participated in major free agency in 12-13 years, whichever it is.

Just went out of his way to say Zeke is “an exemplary teammate
So much so he was benched and left at home in a crucial game.

Jerry has always tried to blow smoke up our wazoos but now he's making nonsense statements.

Much afraid Jerry is on the road to dementia....

Some of the problem with the draft is that they are drafting athletes, not football players. Mazi was supposedly very strong. Well, great but can he play football, and by that I mean NFL football. Playing beside a stacked roster on a national championship team can hide a multitude of deficiencies.

That’s called coping, others want better for this team

The Mazi pick was terrible at the time, and we all saw it was a reach.

I think the Bills taking Dalton Kincaid right in front in of us (Round 1), messed up the entire draft. The whole world knew we wanted a Tight End. I think Kincaid was our pick and we panicked and took Mazi.

We should have just taken LaPorta or Mayer in round 1. But i think they saw a cluster and thought a good one would last until round 2.

But after we picked Mazi there went Mayer, LaPorta, and Musgrave. Then went reach #2 with Schoonmaker. The tight end run caught Jerry and company napping as usual.

They also needed a guard and could have taken O'Cyrus Torrence. And of course he was taken by the Bills with the next pick. Basically the Bills got the 2 players we should have gotten. Looks like its worked out well for them so far.

Every team misses, every year. But it was so obvious how they should have drafted in 2023.

RD 1- Sam LaPorta (or Mayer)
RD 2- O'Cyrus Torrence
Bryan Bresee
Torrence.

Even better. We did not need a TE, especially in the 1st. And we are not going to get over this hump if we continue taking TE's and CB's prolifically early in the draft.

again. blame the fans. i remember a lot of people were sold on the draft.

fans forget, the Combine is not a science, the draft is not a science and only so much coaches can do when another entity can make decisions.

Our scouts do a decent job, but our owner doesnt utlize them all well.

Yes i agree cut both Zeke & Cook go with a Dowdle Deuce combo get rid of disgruntled vet distractions see if you can get any kind of a draft pick for a Mailk Hooker Donovan Wilson play young safeties with possible upside .

If anything it’s time to go young . Would like to see more Clark Liufau less Kendrick’s at LB and keep Guyton at LT and for goodness sakes what is with the Steele trap at RT get Asim Richards in the mix .

Get Brooks Flournoy and Tolbert heavy targets going forward see what depth is behind Lamb going forward . Turpin in my estimation is a less accomplished version of Cooks but can play ST and is cheaper . Peddle Cooks if healthy to a contender needing a 3rd WR
