As crass as CCF comes across, I know more than a few guys who would chuck her the to the curb if she's not giving up the goodies.

I also had a friend who was a virgin til she was around 30, as well. She didn't wait for any specific reason other than until she felt comfortable w/that guy.

The reasoning that she wants her virginity to be a "gift" for her husband is an absolute joke that sets the women's lib movement back 50 years. She should have sex whenever she feels the time is right, not when society or some doofy church tells her she should.

I don't claim to be an expert on women's lib, but I don't think it was built around the ideal that putting-out, early & often, before marriage was a terrific idea.

As for pre marital sex, my father said, "Don't sleep with anyone you couldn't see marrying."

I followed that advice.

It might not have been stated eloquently but women's freedom does include sexual freedom. Now, it is true she is exercising her sexual freedom by not having intercourse, but female virginity is usually a male dominated societal goal, not a female goal.

Going back 3 million years of evolution, we want our wives to be virgins so that we are certain no other man could be the father of our children or that she isn't pregnant with another man's child when we marry etc.

Face it, the only nations that still push female virginity until marriage tend to be backward oppressive nations who also at times perform female circumcisions. The Arab world, many African states, India all have the goals of female virginity until marriage. Those are not progressive nations.

What does "nation" have to do with it? it should be about personal responsibility and choice. The nation, meaning the government, should have little to say about when adults have consensual sex.

Maybe...nation was a bit broad. Some cultures within the US appreciate an individuals choice to engage or not engage in risky behavior while some cultures such as the one in Hollywood endorses and promotes risky behavior.
