I was born in '85 so I was still pretty young during the dynasty. All I really remember is there being Cowboys fans EVERYWHERE and it was fun to be around!

I will put it this way....

The Cowboys of the 90's SHOULD have been the greatest dynasty of all time. They were certainly set up that way.

However, a mere six consecutive seasons of going to the playoffs isn't even close enough to consider.

Landry's Cowboys, the 70's Steelers, the 80's 49ers, the 21st century Patriots, the 60's Packers, the 30-40's Bears....they all lasted much, much longer.

The owners of those teams didn't treat the franchise like some new toy they weren't willing to share.

No ifs or buts about it. Kids nowadays will never understand what us older folk witnessed. We witnessed greatness. I don’t care how many rings that cheating Brady has. I don’t care about Montana. I don’t give a damn about that punk Mahomes. Troy Aikman and his Cowboys are still the best dynasty in NFL history. The true fans know it to be true. The 90s Cowboys would dismantle the 2024-2025
Chiefs. The 90s Cowboys would outman the 2007 Patriots. Montana would throw four picks in a championship game. The Cowboys were just that good and don’t let anyone fool ya!
Yes , I would put the 90's Dallas Cowboys up against the best of all time teams, the 85 bears all those Patriots teams.Even Ray Lewis and the Ravens, The Dallas Cowboys of the 90's ,would wear down these teams.Emmitt Smith and that Oline would punish all these great teams. Larry Allen and Eric Williams and the Great Wall of Dallas would give Belichick nightmares.

This is why they call us delusional. Patriots and now about to be Chiefs cause they gonna 3peat trumps what the cowboys did. In the age of parity it’s much more difficult to build a dynasty.

Would've won 5 in a row if Jerry hadn't fired Jimmy and then proceeded to tear that team down. As soon as Jimmy left, Jerry started releasing players to sign stars: Cornish, Harper, Gant, Jeffcoat, Stepnoski, Washington, Casillas, Jimmie Jones, Norton, Gogan, Gesek. Jerry let all of them walk after Jimmy left and did an extremely poor job replacing them. The super bowl contention fell off a table simply because Jerry did not understand why we won those super bowls to begin w/.
Good Post Thank you

i’d put the Patriots, Packers of the 60’s, 49ers of the 80’s, Steelers of the 70’s ahead of our 90’s team. should the Chiefs go on to win this year they will leap to second on the list.

If Jerry doesn't tear that team down, we might well have been the best dynasty of all time. Jerry ended it.
Jimmy was getting way to much credit for Ol Jerry's liking ,how could you not just be happy that you won back to back Super Bowls.Unbelievable , and that was just the start of many bad decisions that has been made,Ol Jerry cost the Cowboys a chance to be an even bigger dynasty in the 90's.

Ugh the Steelers racked up 4 SB wins in what 5 yrs in the 70’s . Not to mention the Brady bunch having enough rings to open a jewelry store .

Love the 90’s Cowboys but “greatest dynasty “ hmmmm ?

Patriots unfortunately
You could say that if you want to drag it out for almost 20 years. But for relatively the same team, I'd take the Cowboys for 1 reason. They came the closest to winning 4 SB in a row. We were just 1 game away.

Those 90’s Cowboys were greatness and the last of the real dynasties before free agency and all the rule changes. Free agency hit and really stripped them of some great talent. The NFL is different and an inferior product today.

Every year Rookie QBs come in and light it up due to the rule changes, free agency, more teams, and a watered down product based on talent. The old days this just didn’t happen with rookie QBs as the game was tougher.

The 90’s Cowboys would walk right through todays NFL.
