Eddie, comparing current players to old players hasn't worked too well for you lately (Romo/Hodgeboom).

Maybe Barber wouldn't do as well with full carries or maybe he would. Either way, I don't think Troy Hambrick has anything to do with it.

Parcels has always seemed to like to use more then one back. Mostly because of how much he likes to run. No one back can take that kind of pounding. So lets say he gets rid of JJ and has Tyson Thompson or another back in there and he doesn't end up complimenting Barber as well as JJ. Then the running numbers for both backs go down. Just be glad we have 2 really solid backs right now.

To be fair to Jones, he would do much better if he was allowed to improvise. I don't know if BP has told him to run straight ahead and not bounce it to the outside or if that is his own doing. Also it seems that whenever Jones carries the ball, the Oline collapses and there are 3 to 4 different players around him to make the tackle. If Jones played for Denver he would be a monster. Barber is the better RB in this scheme, but if Parcells tried to design the run blocking scheme around Jones and not the other way around, I am sure that Juluis would be more productive.

Anyone still believe Julius is better than Barber

Maybe it is like Hambone. He said something like "I am the best running back on the team" The when he got to #1, he said something like "Man it is different when the teams plan for you".
I can't remember the exact phrases, because I drank a lot of beers during the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Maybe teams will scheme different when Barber is in there.
I think it works like it is, keep brining Barber in when the defenses are tired.

Im not really thinking about next year, we are on top of the division and in the thick of things.

However I do believe that we should be using Barber earlier in games especially if Julius has like 4 consecutive carrys for two yards or less like he did today and has happened quite often lately.
