The Americans

Stan "FBI guy" Beeman is duh-umb!

I think Pastor Tim is the Russian "groomer" for Paige. (I know.. I know... they were gonna whack him)

Interesting theory about the pastor. Maybe I'll pawn it off as mine to my wife:p

Beeman is on to Martha though.

Martha...Martha...Martha.

This is not going to end well.

Yep. I think she'll be areasted and convicted for treason just like Nina. Her only help to the government is a description of "Clark".
All pictures will be gone.

Oh, Martha!

So smart and yet so dumb.
She knew Gabe was gonna kill her before "Clark" got back.

You see the look on Gabriel's face.... You ... You ... Kgb lol

I think Russians get to her first.

Yep and could be Elizebeth that kills her. "Clark" will take it hard.

Yeah man, she has at least two reasons lol

1. Clark and Martha "love life" and feelings.... Remember episode when Elizabeth said do the same to me. Rude awakening.

2. Compromising themselves

3. Compromising the cause

Three reasons...

Now THAT was a great friggin episode.......I couldnt imagine bein in Martha's shoes.....its one thing to become a spy for an enemy country knowingly, and having to defect to that country not knowing the language, culture etc.......but for her, this whole time she never knew she was helping the enemy....and all a sudden, its off to Russia without "Clark" or life in Prison after a lengthy interrogation by the FBI.......shoulda just jumped off that bridge....what I woulda done anyway.....

Well.... This a great set of episodes revolving around Martha. Doesn't feel stretched out. Perfectly balanced and the length is perfect.

The writing is on the wall though... Martha is not long for this world.

I don't agree that she should have jumped though.

She should turn herself in and take her punishment. But she can also explain that she didn't know.
She didn't. If she tells the entire story. They'll believe her.

She can even say, "Clark played audio of you guys saying I wasn't much to look at"
Again, she will be punished. Deservedly so, but she will be viewed differently.

"I'll be like I was before I met you.... Alone"
Even the FBI gang is feeling that angle.

She's actually such a good person. The character is good intentioned and pure. Just lonely and duped but the KGB pros.

and you forgot, she's a nympho ;)

Anyone else find it interesting they brought Martha back to Moscow? I just assumed they would kill once she became useless.

In all fairness, we don't know what they did to her. He was told she went to Moscow, now she might have but until we see her there.

Yea, I was thinking that too, but why go to the expense of flying her out like that if they are just going to take her out when she gets to Moscow? I feel like they are trying to be-careful not to show the Russians as total monsters. With them flash forwarding 7 months you get the sense she is ok, but I could be wrong.

I more wonder what happens to her in 10 yrs or whatever when the USSR folds....does the new Russian Republic still let her stay?

That was a really sad episode. A great episode, but very sad. I kinda wish we could see what happens to Martha at some point, but that's probably really unlikely. I'm gonna miss her character.

And uh...Elizabeth laid down the friggin' law with Paige. Jeez.

What's the process and/or thought process for taking Martha to Russia? They defect her for future development?

I think her whole ending (of her story) is more for Phillips story line.

So.... Elizabeth played the "I'll miss her" card to Clark.... She's has no heart... It black as ice.

Nice try though... Not believable for her character. Lol
