yeah no offence to lve but never draft a guy with a neck or back injury ever again. sorry to caleb farley.
Jerry couldn’t resist, it was such a great “deal” and he out smarted everyone else....for one season. Most fans were drooling all over the pick at the time and minimized his injury history. As usual with these types of Jerry specials, it didn’t work out and will most likely be a waste of a draft pick, just like Jaylon.

And some people still insist we are great at drafting :lmao2:

This is my issue with Phillips (the U) and Farley (VT) we've seen this movie before if they are coming into the league with injury concerns then you're fooling yourself if you think they won't have others after stepping up a level.

If this happens, he's a free agent after this season. In other words, our LBer issue is more serious some believe. Can't imagine not drafting one within the first 3 picks.

19. Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Dallas Cowboys
Cost: $9,145,000

Vander Esch made a positive impact as a rookie, but injury concerns that followed him from Boise State into the NFL have proved justified. He’s missed 13 games over the past two seasons. Some teams removed Vander Esch from their draft boards over injury concerns. The Cowboys obviously were not one of them. Will they double down on a questionable initial investment?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't LVE under contract this year? Our LB issue NEXT YEAR is more serious, but why borrow from next year's troubles when we have more serious concerns to address this year. Draft a couple of linebackers to groom as potential replacements and if they don't work out, then we can focus on LB next year early in the draft.

We need a starting corner and quality DTs much worse to compete now.
