Ok…my thoughts after 41-7 loss.

• The eagles have a much deeper, more talented roster, especially in the trenches.
• The Cowboys are probably not as bad as they looked today, but this team is exactly what the record says it is: 7-9; a below average team.
• We need a lot of help at multiple positions.
• The biggest weakness this team has by a mile: GM. Sadly, we have a stubborn, incompetent 82 year old GM who has three decades of evidence he literally does not know how to build a roster capable of competing seriously for a championship in the cap era.

Rambo, I appreciate your enthusiasm for the team and I support your right to express whatever opinions you have about the Cowboys. I want them to win too. And I always enjoy a Cowboys win. In the here and now, this team has certainly played better.

But what I’m addressing here is the big picture over multiple years. This organization appears completely comfortable with some regular season success followed by a wild card win every five years. There seems to be no hunger to achieve more than that.

If that makes you happy, enjoy.

This is a jones’ rebuild. They think they have alot of new young players who just got alot of experience and will be better for it next year. Look at the end of last yr and this yr. There are 7 guys on O that got major time that didnt last yr or werent here.im not including rush obviously.

On D there are 7 too. Thats 14 out of about 28. Half your team! Didnt include Watkins or joseph here. Jerry is hoping that pays big dividends this offseason for next year. This was a deliberate rebuild without saying it. Now he will see where it took him come September. I didnt say i agreed im just telling you what his true intentions were. Thats why you let 10 guys go and replace them w one free agent and a bunch of rooks and young guys. has he ever let this many guys go that played that many plays after winning 12 games before? Think about it. This was a 2 steps back potential 3 steps forward deal and it was very deliberate. Will it work? Only if the young guys get better in the offseason. I ecoect a trade down in the frst or 2nd round and a trade up in the 4th. They have to get bodies in here in case they lose more players.
