In my opinion, this team is obviously headed in the right direction. Amy other year, we'd be contending for home field advantage. Some cards have not flipped in our favor this year, but nobody can say this team is the same team of the past few years.

When I step back and look at the bigger picture in regards to this team's future, I can't help but be happy and excited.

I'm excited to see some real draft firepower put into the defense. I'm excited to see this young, mean offensive line get more experience playing together. I'm excited to see Dez get signed.

Yes, losing to Philly sucks. But ultimately, we're still in this race this year, and the way things are looking, we should be for the next several years as well.

That last sentence i agree if ROMO is around and healthy. If he goes down or unable to play...this team is lost. One year they better address this situation!!!!!

Great post. I think people forget at times we are 8-4. Most had us 8-8 AT BEST. Which I guess is still possible but no one had us at 8-4 at this point in the season. Doesn't mean that we should be content with it but it does show that we are heading upwards.

There is a lot to be excited about they certainly are drafting better. I hope they sign Murray as well, but they also have to start thinking about the future without Romo. If he goes down again it will be painful watching Weeden

The fact that you posted this now tells me you are not confident about what this team will do over next 4 weeks in crunch time
That is "the right direction"?

I'm very interested to see what team shows up Thursday. Will they rise to the occasion like good teams do or wilt. One difference that has been mentioned this year is that no matter what the circumstance during the game they have never quit. Hopefully that continues in Chicago.

I feel like we are moving in the right direction as far as team talent but the hardest position to fill on an team is a top level QB. Romo is 34 dealing with multiple back surgeries.
Will he be our QB when are team is actually ready to compete for a SB. I dont know

What's your prediction for the first 3 rounds in the draft?

I agree. I didn't think we'd be 8-4 at this point. As a fan base we turned a corner a few weeks ago in our feelings about this team. We've become excited and now EXPECT good things due to the great start. A majority of the fan base probably had the team missing the playoffs and in the 9-7 to 7-9 range. So now we have a legit shot at the division and the playoffs and people are turning sour on the last few losses. The team has exceeded most expectations, especially the D at times.

The season has been fun so far. I'm enjoying it. I think we're in the mix and I think this team is better than any of the 3 teams prior that lost their last game of the season with a playoff berth on the line. I also think we're positioned to be in the mix for the next couple of years due to the Oline. If the Dline choices by management can become something similar we'll be around for a good period of time each year.

The remaining 4 games...this team needs to remind itself that they went into Seattle and beat the super bowl champs and remind itself that it is undefeated on the road this year. They can play with anyone. Get after it.

Yes, they have improved while replacing an old, aging roster with a much younger one over the last few years.

If you have something to say, say it. That is infinitely better than whining about what other people say.

Swing and a miss.

I believe he was aiming for the negativity posted on this board.

Especially after a sound drubbing.......with destiny at our feet.

Apologies for speaking for you, brymatt94.

That is exactly what I was talking about--posters who whine about the posting habits of other posters, be they negative or positive.

It does seem like were heading in the right direction. We should finish with 9 or 10 wins. We wont make the playoffs but thats way better than most people thought we'd do. Another draft and offseaso or 2 and dallas can do something. As long as romo stays healthy. This draft needs to be all defense except maybe 1 olineman.
