I would say there is some serious blame to go around for the Boys missing the playoffs.

Start off with our kickers. They deserve all kindsa blame for it.

All the offensive line except Flozelle Adams. Our OL cost the Cowboys 3 games all by themselves. Those other teams shoulda given our OL game balls.


Mike Zimmer. He is a dumb DC to begin with. But his play calling is even worse in the last minutes of a game. He cost us a couple games in the last 2 minutes by given up the usual big play like always.

For me, the kickers - Cortez, esp. killed us this year.

Even with all of our problems at FS and on the OL, if we could kick FGs under 40 yards consistently, we'd probably be in the playoffs.

he had to find a way to throw Zimmer under the bus, and starting a finger-pointing thread was a way to go about it, even though our D took a huge leap to respectability under Zimmer's tutelage, and esp. in the 1st year in the 3-4

note: Atlanta scrapped the 3-4 after 1 year, and look how bad San Diego was in getting to the QB and playing the pass, compared to us, their 1st year in the 3-4 last year

The game has definitely passed Tuna by. What was even more surprising was his inability to fix the OL. He did it brilliantly in NE and NYJ. Why he didn't resolve the kicking and OL issues is very mystifying.
