Well then he needs to be coached into doing it properly. That's no excuse for not running a formation, especially one that may allow our statue of a QB an extra second to get the pass off.

I hate to say it, but Parcells has made a mess of the QB position from the minute he got here.

Kearse is done for the season, so that's irrelevant. And the refs didn't "give" us a first down, the Eagles committed a blatant penalty. The surprising thing was that the refs called it, since they didn't call the Eagles for anything else all game except being offsides.
The Eagles were at home, they had a ton of emotion, their gameplan worked perfectly, Bledsoe played poorly, the offensive line played poorly, McNabb had some huge pass plays -- and we still had a good chance to at least tie the game at the end. When all of those things conspire against a team, it's usually a blowout.

That's if you assume Romo is really ready to be a GOOD starting NFL quarterback. We're not sure of that at all.Rack;1076603 said:Parcells made a mess of the QB situation? Do you not remember what it was before he got here? At least now we have a young QB ready to take over soon. What did we have before?
Rack;1076521 said:I disagree. What, with Kearse they would of had a pass rush? Oh wait, they ALREADY had a pass rush.
What, with Stallworth they might of hit a long TD play? Oh wait, they did that WITHOUT Stallworth.
No difference.

Truth is, we could have drafted any one of a number of guys in 2003-2004, or we could have tried to trade for someone or signed a free agent. We chose not to.

What did we have before? Ryan Leaf, QC, Hutch, Steorner, etc...
I'll take today's QB situation over that of 5-6 years ago.

I dont think it is unrealistic to think that two major contributors they didnt have could have made it a whole heck of alot worse for us.
It could have been a whole lot worse.
