The whole thread reminds me of when Alvin Harper left the green grass of home to Tampa Bay. He was a very good number 2 but didn't have what it took to be a legit numero uno.

I may be incorrect but I believe they have played each other 2 or 3 times, and Peterson matches up with Dez very well. Dez was non factor pretty much in each game if memory serves correct.

Exactly

So we can play the blame weeden cards all we want, but Patrick Peterson owns Dez. Plain and simple.

Yeah he's a certified bum. Him and Williams both.

Just because he's a bum, does not excuse you from getting open, or dropping balls that hit your hands.

How many #2 WR in this league would be productive #1s? How many could do it with the #2 QB throwing? Maybe 1 or fewer.

People gotta understand context.

Let's get to the real point though. There's probably 10-15 number 2s you'd take over TW in a heartbeat.

Regardless of circumstance, he is a lower tier number 2.

You need to name more because I wouldn't say Martavis Bryant, Jones, Moncrief and Laurent Robinson? you really saying he's better than williams? He probably had better hands than williams but most of his catches came after the play broke down.

T. Williams: 90 rec/ 1500 yds/ 14 td's 3rd season

M.Bryant: 26 rec/549yds/8TD 2nd season (still suspended)

Marvin Jones: 78rec/1000 yds/13 TD's 4th season

Moncrief: 49 rec/644 yds/6td 2nd season

L.Robinson: 54 rec/ 858 yds/ 11 td in his only productive season in the nfl

Also, You're comparing him to 1st round talents too lol. Mike evans was a stud coming out of college and Hopkins is emerging as a stud too after having a quiet 1000 yd season last year. Golden tate got better each year but he didn't break out till his 5th season in the league in a more pass oriented offense.

Also, i hate that you made me defend him a bit because I've always had a problem with him being solely a bodycatcher. He's a good #2 when you have Dez and are mainly a run oriented team like we are right now

Your stats are misleading since you put 3 years worth of stats for TWill and only 1 year stats for the rest.

Yeah and he also dropped that playoff catch, despite what many on here believe.

Right now ODB has the best hands in the east. Plain n simple.

LOL!!! That's your lame *** response?? Wow. Hahahahaa!!! And with that, I'm out of this "blame thrower" discussion. Heh heh.

T-Wil isn't a number 1 receiver. He's probably just an average #2 receiver.

That absolutely doesn't make him a bum. Some threads become more a pronouncement about the quality of poster, than about a player. Sadly this is one of those threads.

This was a block-worthy offense, in my offense. I don't put up with fans to *unfairly* assault the character of Cowboy players. Set laser to "ignore" and fire.

There is a bum here. That much is true.

Atlanta didn't even stack the box. Go back and watch the tape. Offensive line just got owned at the line of scrimmage and forced Dallas to be one dimensional which you can't do when you have a backup quarterback.

They did. Killed our second half run then we moved to passing sets.

Obviously they aren't doing that if we are in shotgun.

When the D knows you can't pass, they'll stack in run sets and clog the middle in pass.

Go back and watch tape with your brain turned on

So the defenders of this guy, are you all finally seeing the light? Or are we just going to blame this on weeden? I seen guys still perform with or without their star QB. Not give bagels.

Do you all still believe we do not need to upgrade? Is he still a great number 2? With the great Seattle catch and the touchdowns from last year?

You want to bash a player and can't spell his name?

This is incorrect. They played it the same way in the first half. They stacked the box in the first half as well. They only had a single safety high on first down all through out the game.

I like Terrence Williams , I think he's a solid WR. He doesn't have great talent but he has a knack for making big plays. I would like seeing him in 3rd/4th wR role. I think we have to move on from Devon street and hopefully draft a bigger faster #2 next year.
