So why are trying to take over Pollard, when we already have the same type RB, who is now a full time starter ... now reknown as a pro bowler and one of the most explosive
backs in the entire NFL now.?

That all purpose RB/WR hybrid is Pollard.
The big difference imo, is how Kellen either refused or did not have a clue to scheme or develop him into a RB/WR hybrid
Pollard is expensive and getting older.
His cliff is coming. Paying 7 figures to a RB is a lot, though if we do it a year at a time, that's ok by me.

On the lack of a clue in Kellen, it took 4 years to send our sub 4.4 RB on a fly pattern. 60+ yard TD. Sweet pass by Dak too. He throws a good deep ball now.
And we didn't even *attempt* it again. What's wrong with these people? Why can't they just do the obvious things that work? At least until they *stop* working?

If we used that added deep ball dimension of Pollard, he could be a good deal at 10mil until he hits the cliff. It's an excellent pairing for a strong defense that keeps scores generally low. 1 TD can take the game, making that deep threat something teams must respect and account for. Big plus for the offense.

A center or a guard helps us. Biadasz is a FA next year and is exactly the type of player you move on from. He’s developed into a solid player but you don’t give solid players second contracts unless you have no choice. We don’t have a guard so obviously we need on because the vet we signed should be depth. Both guard and center looks like will have goid options at 26 and some that can play both
And exactly the kind of player we *do* move on from.

Solid, but despite the pro bowl nod this year, not really pro bowl player. How many players did they offer it to before Biadasz? I'd think "many" is the right description.

I could see the 1st 4 picks on interior oline and dline.
And like it.

Yep ,..this sounds like the RB epidemic that is spreading across the nation,.. and it's not just fan fare, but media too.

" Rent a RB, ..don't draft a RB in the first round...and don't re-sign one as there are many-a-plenty cheaper ones in the NFL draft and FA. "

" Let's try to save money rather than cement a bona fide playmaker "

And who knows what coaches and NFL executives will/have started falling into that very same policy and philosophy as well

I definitely knew one Cowboys head coach that believed in pounding and wearing out a franchise RB before he even hit 27 yrs of age.
..en route to him being cut by the Cowboys.
