Curious to why you feel that way though? He has two inches and 20 pounds on Chase....4.46 guy....which is nice at that size....
He just looks like that big physical X WR but still has the speed and explosiveness.

Most of these guys are tiny or just 1 dimensional speed threats.

Mingo is a classic do everything guy with big potential.

The Cowboys have never accomplished much running the offense through the QB, they have run it through the RB throughout their history with HOF RB's.

In 2016 and 2014, they ran it through the RB and got homefield. Coincidentally, the RB's made All Pro both seasons.

There are two RB's worthy of 1st round picks and the Cowboys need to land one of them because that is the immediate impact player out of this draft.

This is not a future pick, it is a pick for now because the NFC is there for the taking but they need to have a run control the game offense.

And Pollard is not that RB. Robinson or Gibbs are better backs and that's the easiest transition position next to PK in the league.

I've wavered between OL and DL but can't see them taking a DT in the 1st anyway, just not sexy enough and I considered WR and TE but I have settled on one of these two RB's and run the offense through them. Can't give the QB any better help than that.
Yea, Robinson is the pick which could make the greatest impact . And hopefully we are willing to move up to get him if necessary.

They made him the highest paid running back of all time - despite having contract control for 2 years when they did it - and have $12 million in dead cap 4 years later.

It was a bad contract - the Cowboys caved. Not sure why anyone feels the need to try to spin it otherwise.
No doubt. Totally caved .

We should have let him walk but we’re concerned the effects it’d have on Prescott who they were trying to justify his contract upcoming.

Looking forward drafting a QB in1st round can be a good investment if you only keep him 5 years.

I'm a fan don't get me wrong. I Don't see the Chase comparisons but I like him as a better prospect then Tolbert last season.....

The GM pretty much has said they don’t view TB as a value position. They aren’t taking him at 10.

They can probably get Henry for less via trade.
Oh for sure they can get Henry for less. Probably a 2nd rounder or less. I'm sure that's why they are looking at him.

Why would the GM say anything other wise? Why would he come out and say we are looking at TB? Especially if they want one at 30? Or even at 10?

Again, I'm not saying he will do it. I don't think he will. But there are so many reasons why they could and why they probably should depending on what's available at 10.

IF they are in WIN NOW mode...what player will help them win now and put them over the top?

I mean they are currently set at

CB
QB
WR
TE
OL
DL

That leaves safety, LB......RB.

Now that's taking a win now approach. Could draft a guy for the future though as well. I'm 50/50....went from 0 percent to 50. Starting to think its a possibility and I'd respect him for it. I wouldn't let Youtube GM's build my team for me either.

I’m good with a first or second round RB, but I would rather them go OL early and pick up two RBs in the middle rounds. My thought being 20 games is a long season and if you run the ball a lot I’m not sure 3 RBs can cut it anymore, I think the team needs 4 now. If one gets banged up, you can rehab them for a few weeks so you keep them all healthy for late in the season. I would prefer 4 all around backs instead of roleplayers like goal line back 3rd down back etc. Even though I like Pollard as the 3rd round back and would love a big goal line back like a Bus for short yardage.

Yes and no. He could've got fired letting Moore do what he did. Especially if Sean Payton as available without compensation.
I guess you have to play those odds when you’re the coach? Just let Jerry’s masterplan unfold. It was up to the owner to eventually step in and make a change on something he implemented.

I could see that. The point is build the oline and you don’t need an elite RB
We don’t have a LG so that’s why I said guard but you could certainly make a case for center or both
I'm on board with the bold.
More convenient short term to get LG, better investment long term to spend a high pick on a C.

G is where older big Ts go to end their career when the lateral agility goes. They can be had cheap and serviceable.

A center or a guard helps us. Biadasz is a FA next year and is exactly the type of player you move on from. He’s developed into a solid player but you don’t give solid players second contracts unless you have no choice. We don’t have a guard so obviously we need on because the vet we signed should be depth. Both guard and center looks like will have goid options at 26 and some that can play both
