Fun scenario but Elliot is not better than Gurley.

That's up for debate, IMO. Not saying that you are wrong; on the contrary, I'm agreeing with you. We can all say that both Gurley and Zeke are great RBs and both should be in consideration to be drafted top 10 in any draft. If we were to give them the objective of going from point A to point B, they can both do it effectively, just depends on which way you like it to be done better. Now, if both were in the same draft, I would only give the nod to Zeke because of the lack of the acl tear. I would've been wrong because I very much doubt that Zeke will amass the yardage that Gurley had his rookie year with the amount of time he had to it....but if I had, say the 6th pick in the draft, I'd take Zeke. I see Gurley the better RB; Zeke the better "draftable" player in the times that they were/are being selected.

Elliott is the better overall back. Gurley is the better pure runner. It is kind of like Emmitt vs. Barry. Emmitt was the best overall back, but Barry was by far the better runner.

But Bowman isnt going to take a paycut and we arent going to pay him 9 million a year

Im sorry, but this is just too fanciful

Restructuring a contract costs the player nothing at all. They still get the same amount of money, generally faster

My 6th round pick, Devin Fuller, WR just ran a 4.37 at UCLA. Think he just made a strong case to be drafted!!

I would take this draft for sure.

Prob won't happen but I certainly would and we're making cap room for someone and there's nothing more than Hardy left on the market that we apparently are not interested in.

So we may be trading for someone.

San Francisco is in rebuild mode and Bowman is their best player/resource to trade.

This is not as far fetched as some are trying to make it out to be.

FA:
Resign:

Ro McClain, LB
Mo Claiborne, CB
Kyle Wilber, LB
James Hanna, TE
Charles Brown, OT
Sign:
Cedric Thornton, DT
Matt Moore, QB ---- Dallas rolls with Romo, Moore, Moore
Josh Thomas, CB
and...........
Draft:
(Trade): Dal trades 1(4) to SF for 1(7), 5(141) and the rights to Navarro Bowman, LB

My logic to why the @#$% this would ever happen: CHIP.... lets start with Chip's logic. Chip does not like vocal leaders of previous regimes (Jackson, Maclin, McCoy), but he does like his own hand picked QBs (Sam Bradford) and I think he would bring the moon to S.F. by acquiring the NOCAL golden boy (Goff). I'm assuming the draft will go this way. 1.Tunsil 2.Wentz 3.Ramsey. If Chip wants it, thats the place for him to strike; even if it means giving up the best LB in the game. I think Bowman's 2014 injury will loom in Chips mind as well (more so than his 150+ tackles in 2015). One more tidbit, I think Chip is that Rob Ryanesque payback kinda guy who would be elated to stick it the Eagles; what better way than giving us Bowman. Dal logic is easy.......we trade down 3 spots, gain a 5th, add a guy whom I think could give us a different opinion of our D and have the 7th pick to draft.........

1(7) Ezekiel Elliott, RB OSU - Take out the fact that he is hands down the best RUNNING back this year, he is also the best blocker and pass catcher, too. He is better than Gurley and well worth the 7th pick and well worth the 4th overall, too.

2(34) Kevin Dodd, DE Clemson - I think he drops with the rise of the stud DTs, the numerous CBs(Hargreaves, Apple, Alexander, Jackson) and the OLBs. I also believe Bullard is a tad better (maybe even Nassib) and he will be the fringe 1st rounder who gets taken. He can be a great piece to that Dline; looks like a LE, I think he has the bend to play a little RE...actually kinda reminds me of Hardy.

3(67) Xavien Howard, CB Baylor - Another one who drops. He had some really good tape, but man O man did he have a stinker in what I think was his last game. Still, he is a bigger CB with some real skills to work with. I think someone like a Harlan Miller or even a Cyrus Jones goes before him, which leaves him to drop into our 3rd.

4(101) Sean Davis, CB/ S Maryland - This is a bias of mine because I am a bit of a Terrapin fan (I would give up way too much for Stefon Diggs, and I was screaming for an undersized DT named Andre Monroe last year. I think he works at a hardware store, now....swing and a miss). Here's the newest and I think he impressed enough at the combine to move to the 3-4th round. Previously a 6th-7th rounder. I feel like we have an injured 1st or 2nd corner every year, so lets beef up our 3rd and 4th corner.

4(135)comp- Kenyan Drake, RB Alabama - A little bit of overkill with Zeke, but I would feel comfortable with 3 RBs on the 53 if those 3 were Zeke, McFadden and Drake. Tyler Erving would be intriguing with this pick as well.

5(141)trade S.F. - Jatavis Brown, LB/hybrid Akron - My favorite player in this draft. He kinda reminds me of an 85% sized Patrick Willis. Fast...Very Fast! Somebodies getting a really good football player with this guy. No Combine invite

6(191) Devin Fuller, WR/KR/PR UCLA- Maybe a UCLA guy can tell me more about him, but he looks really good from the small sample size. Looks like he has WR2 length; looks fast enough, willing to block. Really, he looks better than Devin Street to me and maybe even Terrance Williams (looks like Fuller is a more natural catcher).

6(212) Dan Vitale, FB Northwestern- I am very sure it is not the same size or even the same type of player, but I think of Vitale as a Sam Gash. I don't know if Gash ever ran for a TD, but he caught quite a few. I think this guy could be that guy and would give Romo a new weapon in a not so obvious spot for a weapon to be.

6(216)comp- Anthony Brown, CB Purdue- Another good sized, legit corner prospect. Lets call it insurance in a place that is in dire need of it.

6(217)comp- David Morgan, TE USTA- Another guy I'm screaming for, and I never think we need another TE. This is my one exception. At 6'4" and 262 lbs., this guy really looks like a light OT and can block similar to one. He also came in 1st for TEs in 4 combine events (Bench,3-cone, 20 and 60 yard shuttle). He's also a pretty good catcher.

and then there is this

Thank you guys for checking in...Please leave feedback

UTSA alumn here and I can tell you, David Morgan is the real deal. He is an absolute beast and the consummate old school football player. He's not a big drinker or partier. I know the girl he is dating and they're both very tame.

I think he could his floor is Anthony Fasano.

Great stuff! Thank you!! Personally, I'd take a fan's opinion over someone like Brugler; you have 4 years of watching these kid's game and getting this great personal insight......and you approving of him to be on your pro team says a lot. Rooting for this guy a bit more, now!

Why not? you drop 3 spots and you have Bowman. I can't think of a player who's more deserving of $9 million for his services. Certainly more than any of the NYG FA pickups

And then McClain gets pissed, smokes some dope and sits out for his 5m.
