The Cooper Rush Scale

wLet's see how many teams upgrade and give Rush a starting job in the offseason. NONE will be the answer. This myth that Rush is better or as good as Dak is ludicrous. Does Dak have his issues? Absolutely, but let's stop this talk about Rush being so great.

Right no need for teams to even watch break down the film or to judge Cooper Rush on his arm talents and throwing ability. Seeing all of those "Cooper Rush is 4-1 and 5-1 with the Cowboys should be enough to convince him that he can start for their team. And also single handedly inspire their defense to play lights out all season long by holding opposing offenses to under 20 points. As all of these NFL GMs should be able to see that Cooper Rush deserves all of the credit for how the Cowboys defense played and therefore they should believe he can QB their defenses into playing the same way. Since some on this forum are giving Cooper Rush all of the praise and accolades for how the defense was playing earlier this season.

Let's see how many front offices, during the offseason, think that Rush makes the defense better. My guess is he does not get a single opportunity to even compete for a starting QB job in the league.

I bet he does not get a FA contract offer. I think he is a FA, not sure.
I mean he was waived last year, then signed to the PS. Only was promoted to permanent when Dak was injured, and then not even right away.
He was not poached from the PS.

Yes that was before the wins. But that poor performance in the Philly game did not help.

Rush went 4-1 this year, including 2-1 record vs playoff teams.

Dak went 8-4, with a 3-2 record vs playoff teams.

That's not a $40 million upgrade. In fact it's a lesser win percentage.

Now compare how the defense played with Dak vs Rush. You can't completely ignore the losses to Lewis and Brown or the impact it is had on the pass rush either.

There answer is that Cooper Rush is the number 1 and only reason for why the defense played lights out earlier in the season. If Rush is so great to impact how the defense of his team plays. Then he should be good enough for some team to want to sign him to their roster, in the believe that he can single handedly have their defense play lights out too.

Y'all do realize that the way we play offense affects how good the defense is right? Ball control on offense keeps the defense off the field and lets them get rested. Dak Prescott having short drives and giving the ball away gives the defense no time to rest and puts them on the field longer.

So don't say oglh the defense was so much better for Rush it's not fair, y'all be missing the fact that the way Rush plays ball makes the defense better.

Somehow you think the defense giving up 500 yards and 40 points in a game is all Dak's fault. But also believe that the team could keep on winning on the hopes and dreams of the defense being able to hold teams to under 20 points and one TD all season long. Also wanting to talk about ball control, when it doesn't help that the OL can't run block and Kellen Moore keeps running the ball like some demand that he does, just for runs to get stuffed on first downs.

There’s not a single team in the nfl that Cooper Rush could lead to an above .500 record. Stop this nonsense. The team scored 17 points a game with him, unless you have a top 5 defense in NFL history you aren’t going to win like that. How people continuously get caught up in small sample size backup QB’s is crazy to me. It’s just common sense
