It goes beyond that.

A team that uses the draft to build nearly exclusively, their 4th and 5th round picks barely suited up.

I don't doubt for a second that instruction was coming from above to get that home playoff game revenue instead of trust rookies.

Edit.....I guess it isn't every season a team is teetering between a home playoff game and compete disaster, but they should have seen more of certain guys than they did.

Its not hindsight either and thats the frustrating part.

The same dumb thing happened under Garrett as well. Can’t win when it counts but sure ‘rally’ when it doesn’t.

It was really the same deal with the exception of a few games.

They were built to beat the crap out of bad teams and come up short against the good ones.

Kings of 8-8.

If the rest of the division wasn't so bad Garrett would have been gone long ago.

The real shame is Dallas should have been dominating this division for years now....but nope.

Philly intentionally tanked. Took Hurts out. Now they get a draft bonanza.

People who have no clue: It doesn’t really matter.

LOL.

Miami didnt tank! you cant argue that they finished 3-2, 2 points from being 4-1 hmm same thing we did..hmm odd isnt it..

in fact won more games down the stretch then us

keep trying yours is an act.

while mine is reality of sports..no one truly tanks on purpose..you are either that bad or not..if MIA tanked they would have picked 2nd not 5th..period

end of this debate ..

its ignorant to ask a team, a coach, and players to lose on purpose,.,.its not real, never been thing never will be..
Tanking isn't asking a team/coach/players to lose on purpose. Once again, you swung and missed again. You'll never get this until you understand the definition.

This is simple, why are you having so much trouble w/ it?

But how did the Cowboys play it? Was Gilbert on getting reps at quarterback? Nope. The guy that left town was.

How about center? Was young Tyler Biafdasz gaining valuable experience? Again, nope.

Free agent Joe Looney was in there.

The problem was the NFC East was so bad that the Cowboys were still "in it" in the minds of the coaches, players, and last but not least, the owner.

We know they weren't going anywhere even if the Cowboys did stumble into the playoffs, but old man Jerry doesn't have years to throw away when he thinks there's a chance. I wish someone had run away with the division and killed his delusional hopes, but it just didn't happen.
