We can have Mahomes on this team and probably trade him for a 7th rounder and say "we got them!"

You and I disagree on that draft. Not sure if your a pro draft guy or a pro Jerry guy but at least you have stuck to your guns with the 22 draft

I hated both 1st and 2nd round pick I think we have rehashed it enough for the reasons why
I'm definitely NOT a pro Jerry guy. PLEASE!

I just believe in giving draft picks a chance. Many make up their minds immediately when the pick is made and won't ever be convinced they are wrong or could be wrong. Players like Mazi and Schoon have been Cowboys for all of 18 months. Mazi was so screwed up for the coaching staff last year his rookie year was wasted. Schoon was hurt to the point the Cowboys almost IR'ed him. But he toughed it out best he could.

All draft picks are.
You draft on what a player does in college if you are smart
we draft way too many because they are great athletes
far too many great athletes do not make great players
how many so called physical freaks never become great players?

JJ is simply impulsive. Lance and Mingo trades are great recent examples, but the Roy Williams and Joey Galloway trades also show how he gets single minded in his approach and overpays when he thinks he “has to have” a particular player.

We regularly get fleeced when we trade for a guy, because we telegraph our intentions and they drive the price up.

We don’t get value when we try and trade guys because they can’t help but open their fat mouths to the media and that inevitably drives the price down because teams can simply wait out the process knowing that eventually we will just cut the guy.

Basically— our trade game is just another weak-sauce element to JJ’s overall GM fail
