Still amazes me till this day this front office decided not to draft any RBs. The RB class last year was pretty stacked.
This year is one of the best I can ever remember for RBs and how much do you want to bet they will wait till the fifth to take one at best?

Couldn't agree more.

Think about it. In 2020 we couldn't stop the run. 31st in the NFL. Soooooooooooooooooo, what did we do about it? A 6th round stiff at DT. That's simply pee poor drafting.

So, fast forward. What happened in 21? Run D was a bit better at 16th. But then what happened in the playoffs? Couldn't stop the run in a playoff loss to SF. And what did we do about it? A 5th round stiff at DT. I mean, you can't make this tish up.

Now 2022. Run D was 22nd. And lost to SF in the playoffs because we can't stop the run.

2023? Run D at 16. Tried a 1st rounder at DT this time. And how did this turn out? Lost to GB because WE CAN'T STOP THE RUN. And we made the DT lose like 30 lbs and played him out of position.

Those of you who keep claiming that we are still drafting well and that Jerry is in any way a competent GM, explain this to me. Same problem, year after year, no real attempt to fix it. Key on "real". We did try Mazi, a 1st round project DT w/ poor movement skills. Who, BTW, we tried to make into a pass rusher. To repeat, you can't make this tish up. Just extreme incompetence.

What next? Let me guess, a WR in the 1st round. Maybe a CB. Yeah, people will proclaim "we needed a WR/CB." As we lose once again because we can't stop the run.
Up until guyton is say we draft lineman very well and have some luck with late round picks but I’d say we are average drafting outside of OL

I’ll give guyton some time but I’m not sure on him

Define average. Not addressing an area and losing consistently because we do no/cannot address that area is not average.

I like Guyton and think he'll turn out well. The thing is, he is raw and shouldn't have been starting at OLT as a rook. Problem is, as usual, Jerry lets a position fall completely apart before addressing it. And no, Tyler was not addressing OLT. Fans would not/could not see it, but he was always going to be an OG. Just not OLT material.

Who isn’t OLT material Tyler or Guyton? By average I mean for every parson we get a maxi smith for every lamb ( who actually fell to us) we get a Schoonmaker or taco

I think Schoon will make a respectable TE. Not ever worth a 2nd rd pick though

He might I think he got better this year but you’re right picking him where we did was dumb

But I’m an admitted hater of that draft I’m actually not to fond of the last one either

Tyler. One of the best OG's in the league though, so good pick.

If you don't make your team better, it's not average.

I like him as a guard but he could line up at LT and be the best one we got
That would be a crying shame. He's a top 5 OG, but would be a bottom 15(or worse) OLT. It would suck mightily if Jerry screws up the OL so badly that we have to waste him there.

No. The Cowboys have only drafted 1 TE in the 2nd round in the last 10 drafts.

So how you drew your conclusion is beyond me because it doesn't make any sense.
Just making a joke based on our 2nd round swings & misses and their love of projects and decided to make fun of the TE which was one of their most recently wasted 2nd round picks. I wasn't literally stating that they take a backup TE in the 2nd round every year.

I do like Kneeland though...I think he's got a good shot of being a solid player

Well, we don't really know how good Lance is. This organization is so bad at talent evaluation sometimes that he could be the next Mahomes and they would refuse to play him .... just like they are doing. Or he could have "offended" one of the overlords and has been blacklisted.

Rush deserves the opportunity & I am happy to see him doing well so no issue from me there. But there were some lanes last night that I would have loved to have had Trey's athleticism to exploit.
But we do know how bad he is. He is bad enough to not get on the field. After Dak got hurt and after we have been eliminated.
