Wasn’t that a 9-7 football team?

They just caught lightning in a bottle really.

The Cowboys beat them twice in regular season, then they beat the Cowboys in the playoffs

In 2007, Justin Tuck broke out for his first of four 10+ sack seasons. Osi was a year removed from a 14.5 sack season and First Team All-Pro. And Strahan was already one of the greatest DEs of all time. The three of them combined for 32 sacks that season. The Cowboys trio currently has 15 combined sacks. It's hard to really compare because the Cowboys trio has yet to be on the same field this season. We also don't know how Dan Quinn will play them when they are on the same field.

The NYG won with 2 lucky passes, that allowed them to go in and get a TD to put them ahead.
Their Defense was ok.
D was OK?
Cmon now - 2007 Pats went 16-0 in the reg season, Brady threw for 50 TDs - they avg 36 points a game,
in the SB - giants held them to 14 points

2011 - Pats 13-3, Brady 39 TDs - they avg. 32 points a game,
In the SB - giants D held them to17.

Both games only 7 points in the second half.

And yes 2 lucky passes won them those game but with out that D...

Giants D won both SBs. But the giants also had luck; no one remembers the sure pick dropped the play before the infamous helmet catch. Luck is a factor in every SB winner's triumph.

Giants had a mediocre regular season record but won the Super Bowl twice. Their D-line was the key to their success. The Giants had a 3rd down package that featured Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, and Justin Tuck. The Cowboys will have Gregory, Parsons, D Law, and Osa as their pass rushing package. The main difference is that the Cowboys are much more talented on offense (although they haven't been playing like it lately). I'm not saying the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl but all they need to do is get in the playoffs and win 4 games.

You obviously dont even know what mediocre means as the Cowboys have the 3rd best record in the NFL.

Cowboys have the 2nd best offense in football.

About as bad a comparison as you can make. Garbage post.

They had a better defense
And the great equalizer, a talented, deep, and disruptive DLine.

What super bowl has Brady lost when the opposition didn't have a disruptive DLine?

That's it? That's pretty unimpressive. D Law has only played in 2 games and Gregory has only played in 7 games. I think they would have surpassed that if they played in all the games.

LOL. Read the thread title. The Cowboys are a "better version" meaning better than mediocre. I just think our pass rush package could put on a similar postseason performance as those Giants teams. 2021 Cowboys offense is way better than both of those SB Giants teams.
