The Cowboys are a BORING team

Listen, I'm glad you guys can have your hope restored much quicker than I. I've just decided that Parcells is not going to get it done. I hope he proves me wrong. As I said at the beginning of this thread, ROMO is the indeed the silver lining in the cloud. Without his coming out, we'd already be dead in the water. But this defense does not excite me. I'm sorry - they just don't. We'll probably win 4 more regular season games and end up 10-6. We'll win one playoff game. Yawn. Mediocre.

Well Im glad that you base your excitement on things on your insecurity. Cause thats all you have to base your lack of excitement on.

OK. I'll admit that Tony Romo and Marion Barber have breathed some life into this corpse of a team, but I'm afraid it is too little too late. The Cowboys have a 6-4 record and are a slightly above average team. Two weeks ago, they were beat by the Washington Commanders, for Pete's sake. Four weeks ago they were DOMINATED by the New York Giants. They have no true playmakers on defense. They play with little passion. Parcells will not get them to the top. Its going to take a younger guy who can instill greater passion into these guys. I am sick and tired of BORING and MEDIOCRE, which is what the Cowboys have been for far too long. I would not be at all surprised to see them get beaten by the pathetic Buccaneers this Thanksgiving. They have won three games in a row only one time since week 8 of the 2003 season. A rare occurence indeed.

You want to know who on this team is going to make the Pro Bowl? NOBODY! Unless Roy or TO make it purely on reputation. There are no guys on this team playing like a Pro-Bowler, so why should they make it?

Here are some stats of the Cowboy's Stars for you:
Julius (boring) Jones - 9th in rushing yards
Vanderjunk - 24th in scoring
Marion (rare bright spot) Barber - 4th in TD's
TO - 15th in receiving yards
Depressingcus Ware - 19th in sacks
We do not have a player among the top 30 in tackles this season.

Wow, with the exception of the Bears that's the NFC in a nutshell. At 6-4 we are tied with 5 other teams for the second best record in the conference.

Maybe you should root for a AFC team if you want above average.

It has been shown to you that this team does the most exciting things in the game, scoring points and forcing turnovers, at a rate better than almost all the other teams in the league.

It has been shown to you that your statistical paradigm was flawed.

That leaves you with your whine about you not thinking Parcells can get this done.

Its called you being insecure in the coaching staff.

You might as well have said, 'Im not sure that this team can win so Im not excited.' And that in the the most nasal whine you can manage.

LOL Kojak you don't post often here, do you? Judging by your sig... Just sayin, that's a little outdated buddy. :D

Dude, take your Zoloft and go to sleep.

With suicide attempts, childrens books, qb controversies, and Jessica Simpson, am I the only one who would welcome 'boring' with open arms?

And that's just the off the field stuff. Even with the on-field stuff, I hope for the day that this becomes a boring team. The problem with this team the first half of the season is that they were anything but boring.

Oh goodness. So if some of the fans don't complain about losing they complain that we don't have "pretty stats"?
:laugh2:

And the "2006 Cowboys" and "boring" don't belong in the paragraph.

I challenge any of you to name a player on this team of the caliber of Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Jay Novacek, Larry Allen (in his prime), Charles Haley, or Darren Woodson. That is a championship team. This team in no way resembles that team. I'm sorry.

R u kidding? Every one of those guys are current or future hall of famers! The steelers won last year and only bettis will be going to the hall of fame. We dont mind criticism but at least make valid arguments. Geez! Hell the Patriots won three out of four SB and you wont find a more boring team, coach, and organization than them. Do us all a favor and take your medicine and take up basket weaving. We like football.

Hah hah, good one.

It's funny to read this thread the day after the Cowboys beat the only unbeaten team in the league.

yeah really and then add the fact that this team is downright exciting now more than ever...

it almost smells of troll

The Colts game was the most exciting I have seen in a few years of cowboys football. This team is anything but boring. For me, Cowboys football is anything but boring.

lol ok..just stop watching the games then....nobody is forcing you to watch..nobody is putting a gun up to your head....no need to make a thread about this...just stop watching the games...its that simple:)

frankly why doesn't he go to the Skins. they love gomers like him.

Yeah at 6-4 the season is a wash......

Disregard the fact that two of our 4 losses rest squarely on the shoulders of Bledsoe. I can't see how anyone could not be excited about this team. Boring?? What is your definition of exciting?

The thing that kills me is the constant comparison of this team to the team in the early 90's. Do some of you guys not realize that the salary cap prevents a team from having all-stars at every position? This isn't Madden 07, you can't create an all-Madden team and then cut through the competion. This years team is a well balanced team.

I swear we could finish this year with a Super Bowl victory and there would be some guys lamenting the fact that we didn't beat the opposing team by a large enough margin.

Cup half full or cup half empty, I swear some of you can't even find the cup to begin with!!

Is this chucklehead for real????

All I can say is wow. This team is anything but boring. Even when we lose it rips our hearts out because of the screwed up ways we lose. Like getting a FG blocked, not tackling the guy who recovers the ball, yanking his face mask to give them 15 more yards, and then watching an erratic kicker put it between the sticks.

That's boring?

The TO circus is boring?

The meteoric rise of Tony Romo from the sidelines to cult status is boring?

Speculation that Jessica Simpson is warm for his form is boring?

Being in the top 5 in scoring offense and scoring defense is boring?

If all that is boring, by all means bore me some more.
