There are usually 2-3 Miles Sanders, Swift, Edwards-Helaire, Antonio Gibson, Pollard, etc. available every year around the 2nd round or later. These are all extremely talented players you can feature as part of a RB rotation

yup. helaire was a first round pick though, which is why I included him in the first list

Other than the suspension year he's played in 62 of the last 64 games. Fat? "Jul 23, 2021 · He’s down to 218 pounds, a weight he hasn’t been at since his freshman year at Ohio State."
The fact that he had to shed weight, and it was widely reported on, is evidence that he got too fat.
Even Elliott says as much:
“Just having the year I had last year,” Elliott said, “you don’t need more motivation than that. I just know the type of player I am. I don’t think I showed that last year. I got a lot to prove.''
Elliott being overweight negatively affected his endurance; hence, him waving to the sidelines every seven-yard run (I'm being hyperbolic to illustrate a point).
He needs to be in better shape, and that starts with getting his weight under control - which he appeared to do - and working on his endurance.

You weren't fooled by Ron Leary coming on the field before one game in Zeke's jersey, were you? Lots of people were.
:laugh:No, I wasn't. But the fact Leary sought to imitate Zeke is telling in itself. Remember the saying: There's truth in humor. ;)

Yes he gets beat up during the season, but that's normal for a power back, "injured" is a different thing.
"Beat up" is a nicer way of saying one is "injured." Football players don't like to talk about injuries unless they're really serious. So they use terms like "beat up," "nicked," etc.
By the way, Elliott suffered a torn PCL last year.

Criticize him where it's warranted, but don't make stuff up.
I'm not making anything up. You can do a simple Google search and see the stories done on his weight (him losing weight is a sign he was overweight) and his injuries.
Criticize my post if you wish or accuse me of exaggerating, but don't act as if I'm pulling my information from the air.
I'm not. :)

"But the fact Leary sought to imitate Zeke is telling in itself"

Yes it is. It's Leary's way of saying "hey, Zeke ain't fat, THIS is fat" In other words "Folks, saying Zeke is fat is ridiculous"

Putting on a few pounds isn't the same as "getting fat". Last year he dropped below the weight he carried when he won two rushing titles. Are you saying he was fat when he first played for Dallas?

But that's fine, you want to run down Cowboys players, be my guest. Some fan you are...

Eh, no. He's poking fun at the fact that Zeke is fat or is being called out for being fat. Either way, weight and Zeke are part of the conversation. Otherwise, Leary wouldn't be wearing his jersey.

But if you're trying to lose it, it is. :)
Unless through no effort of their own, people generally lose weight because they're overweight, i.e., fat.

Last year he dropped below the weight he carried when he won two rushing titles. Are you saying he was fat when he first played for Dallas?

See my comment above about why people decide to drop weight.

But that's fine, you want to run down Cowboys players, be my guest. Some fan you are...

Contrast with blindly cheering and not calling players to task who purposely don't do what's necessary for the Dallas Cowboys to win championships/Super Bowls? Some fan you are. ;)

So Leary told you that himself?
Your opinion ONLY.
But if you're trying to lose it, it is

No, I'm 6-3 and 180 but even I have a bit of fat, doesn't mean it needs to be lost. It's called being normal. Nobody should expect Zeke to be in perfect shape all the time, it's a long season.
Some fan you are

Real fans don't nitpick about a few pounds of weight from a player how plays hurt and does the dirty work like blocking.

Sorry, dude, no player is, or needs to be, perfect.

That's what you're asking....

The Rams win one Super Bowl and people act like the Patriots dynasty never existed. Build up on the defensive side of the ball, and stop paying RB's mega millions. Duh...that blueprint is written in championship ink.

An opinion based on logic. You didn't see Leary wear a Dak jersey did you? So the joke HAS to be aimed at Zeke and concerns/jokes/awareness of Zeke's weight.

You keep missing critical pieces of information. ARE YOU TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT TO BETTER YOURSELF IN SOME WAY? If so, you are doing so because you have "fat" somewhere you're trying to trim. Why else would one PURPOSELY try to lose weight?
Fat isn't just a matter of being a blob. It can also involve someone wanting to shed a couple of pounds.

Real fans don't nitpick about a few pounds of weight from a player how plays hurt and does the dirty work like blocking.

Do you mind showing me your card appointing you the Czar of what a "real fan" is?
Even Zeke admitted he needed to lose a few pounds. I guess he's not a fan of himself, huh?

Sorry, dude, no player is, or needs to be, perfect.

Who said anything about him being perfect? I've not said anything that the information itself has not said.
And, YES, I do have greater expectations of a player who was selected fourth overall in the NFL draft, who was paid a multi-million dollar contract, and who is supposed to be the engine of this offense.

What? You want us to pay players like superstars when they don't play up to the standards of their draft selection and the money they demanded?

I guess that's what "fan" means nowadays.

P.S., you might not have seen it, but I posted either in here or in another thread, I am a HUGE Zeke fan. But, yes, I'm disappointed in him.

I get your view. That's yours to have.
