Agreed, but I think SJ will be considerably worse than daddy. If that is the case I don't believe this fan base will tolerate another 5-11 dynasty.

We're further removed from success now and have been "hanging by the rim" too long to go backwards.

Revenue will take a hit at some point. Besides that I'm making a ton of assumptions on SJ. Hopefully he's just different and knows when to say when.

But it is so unbelievable that we are one of only 2 NFC teams not to play in the title game in the last 30 years....I don't think the fans even acknowledge it. This franchise has certainly don't job of never letting THOSE facts be the narrative

I think they've also done a good job of making fans believe that they can win because they've won in the past. And the reality is, this front office has NEVER won. The architect of this franchise most responsible for winning is Jimmy.

I don't expect to be New England or KC. No one wins every year! But how do you not making any changes after 30 years of NOT winning? No GM get's that much rope. It's unconscionable that we've never tried another approach

M Spears is exactly right.......lack of free agent spending is the difference between reaching the playoffs and winning in the playoffs. You can't build a championship team via draft alone. Jerry and Stephen's idea of a championship......draft well and add a few bottom-feeders. It's just not working.....Romo, Dak, same results.

Yet NE the greatest Franchise run ever built it that way. Yeah, they had Brady but they still did it all cheaply by letting good players walk instead of paying them great money. We still have the problem of over paying.

They were both acquired players that they made bad deals on. Free agency signing is also a deal with a potential to be a bad deal.

I think they are afraid to make a bad deal.
