Sure, but instead of signing guys that will actually help the team with this cap space they do things like give Jaylon Smith a massive contract he doesn't deserve.
Well, Jerry gets attached, and wants everyone to be happy.

That 10 million they gave to Crawford last year for one of the worst seasons I've ever seen a pro player have could have been carried over to this year also....without adding extra dead money...

But then they wouldn't be eternal BFF.

Decisions like that are why of this team ever does win, it'll be in spite of leadership.

Excuse me if I get sick when people worship Jerry Jones.

Wonder if this is about carryover or potentially improving the roster now.
It's carryover, as it should be.

I don't think they can do it once the season starts....and this is probably cap space to re sign some of the one year guys that we want to return come March.....or whoever they decide to retain from the 18 class.

It's basically borrowing from four years from now to have extra cap space this coming off season.

wHAt hAppEneD tO Cap Hell? I THOUGHT Dak's contract Destroyed the Cowboys

Dak Haters use your fingers

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:
You do understand that when you restructure to create cap space it generally means you have a cap issue? So while I don't think we are in cap Hell personally, this hurts your argument, it doesn't help it
Hopefully they just roll this space forward and then the math basically works out the same as if they don't kick this unnecessary money into outer years.

This is misleading because it is a frozen point in time and will certainly change a lot, but just to show where we are cap wise as we sit here today look at all teams for 2023. No team is within $50M of us:

How'd Smith get dragged into this discussion? Nothing positive with you EVER. Hey, La'ell's back. Dak's back. Tyron's back. They drafted arguably the best defensive player in the draft. There's a brand new defensive coaching staff and Thursday night the Cowboys play against the defending SB champs. Lots to be positive about and excited for.

I guess they are looking to roll over the savings into next year. And the cap hit per year only goes up a little bit. This is a shrug your shoulders move.
