I'd say they haven't got things right in over 28 years

That only if the bears and falcons don’t spend any of their massive cap space in 2023, which they most certainly will

I'm pretty sure that they spent almost all of their cap space and certainly had a full roster and one of the best teams in the league. Now they are set up to have their 3rd consecutive double digit win seasons and will be in good position to sign some players that they need.

Don't confuse cap space with cash spent.

It's not the same thing.

The Cowboys plan on retaining their best young talent as much as they can. It is their philosophy that familiarity produces better consistent long term results. These player know each other on the field.

They want to keep their best players like CeeDee, Micah, and Trevon, all who are considered elite and will be getting new contracts within the next two seasons.

The rules regarding the salary cap allow teams to carry over any remaining unspent cash. The Cowboys are being frugal now so they can sign most of these guys, all of them will demand high salaries.

Jerry is not worrying about cutting costs, he has a firm grip on this franchise's finances and in case anyone has just woken from a 25 year nap, he's doing okay.

Why would a billionaire, whose last dream is to win a Super Bowl, turn into a miser with the guys that could give him his final goal?

It just doesn't make sense.

You do this dishonestly. Because you want it said EXACTLY as you type it.

Because you've seen this:

"This kid has basically carried this team the past three years," Faulk said of Elliott, before suggesting Prescott will be a "bum" once he gets paid and criticizing the Cowboys' recent decision to reward another player with a big-money extension.

That's HOFer Marshall Faulk correctly predicting Dak will be a bum once he gets paid, but because he didn't specifically say "Dak is a bum" you discredit it.

Do you think anyone cares if YOU take them seriously? You're one of about 5 posters on this site that's opinions aren't taken seriously because they're just full of emotion and name calling.
@GINeric ....Dak Haters have been using this "Bum" trope for Prescott when Marshall Faulk was talking in context of QBs and RBs setting the Market with new contracts...

The Only people NOT on the "Bum" list at that time in 2019 were Brady, Rodgers, Russell and Brees!!!

Faulk was IFFY on Philip Rivers:laugh:

This conversation placed in context was after Kirk, Garrapolo, Goff and Wentz set the QB Market......

Dak Haters just used this "Bum" phase to fuel their Prescott $25M per Season Stephen Jones Cap Boy Fund

Well anyone like you who said Dak IS a bum, but failed miserably for about 9 months now to find me a HOFer, current or former players, coaches and GMs who said he IS a bum...

And also someone like you who run and hide after wins, but show your face on the board after losses DEFINITELY can't be taken seriously.

I heard your favorite hotel to frequent is Coward Johnson's....
Well given Dak choked yet again in the playoffs I guess that allows MC to be here all offseason.

Sounds like Faulk is simply saying that Dak, along with many other NFL QB's who are getting these insane contracts simply for being the next man up, are bums by way of a huge contract for not being an elite QB and not bringing the team any further in the playoffs than before said large contracts.

Some fans are suggesting we go after Payan........lol

That does not really have much meaning.

Cash Paid will be normally high for a player the year they sign a new contract because they get a big signing bonus.
- Their cap hit might be the lowest that year of any for that contract, but the cash paid is likely the highest that same year.

That is a great and inarguable point!

Marshall Faulk also went on to say after Prescott injury during Franchise Tag Season that the 2019-2020 Cowboys had relied on Prescott to bring them back....they would play better because Prescott wasn't there.....HOFer Faulk was wrong as the Cowboys under Dalton and Cooper only gained 6 wins....

Marshall Faulk is a known Cowboys hater.

At different points in time he has said:
Emmitt was overrated.
Witten was overrated.
DWare was overrated.
Aikman was overated.
Staubach was overrated.

I know you a Goal Post Shifting expert but IF you shift to the left 2021-2022 Season the Cowboys are still bottom feeders....
